Is it possible his loss is part of a right-wing conspiracy?

Let's see; The uproar over Citizens United was unfounded as all that corporate money failed to produce a winner. All the uproar over conservative voter suppression did nothing to hurt the reelection of the president...

with those arguments nullified, we now have... SURPRISE!!!

Also, this article from Yahoo Finance which suggests that even with having outspent MILLIONS more than the Obama campaign, they (apparently) didn't judiciously spend what they had.

How Race Slipped Away From Romney - Yahoo! Finance

And these are the guys who wanted to manage the NATION'S budget?? [shudders]

He lost because he stood for nothing and everything.

He lost because he came across as an elitist jackass who thinks the hardest working Americans are moochers.

He lost because he tried to run a race on the his being the White Guy... a strategy that no longer works in the USA for a national election.

he lost because when the embassy was under attacked, he joined the the terrorists in attacking the US Diplomatic Corp... while they were under fire, which was a chickenshit act of opportunism at a time when the "loyal opposition" should always be seen to stand WITH the commander and Chief and point their fingers at the enemy, rather than our leader.

He lost because his wife said "we've shown 'you people' all you need to see." and because she has dancing horses at a time when a lot of Americans are losing their homes to companies run by guys like her hubby.

He lost because we ARE a LOT better off than we were 4 years ago... and He hired the SAME Bush advisors who helped create the catastrophe we were all suffering thru in 2008.

He lost because he hired Ryan... a Rand Sycophant who can't add, and who want's to destroy medicare and social security.

He lost because he said the US should not bail out the Auto Companies.

He Lost because he didn't know that Syria and Iran don't share a border and that Iran is already on the sea, and doesn't need to get to the sea thru Syria.

He lost because he's a class A dick.

He lost because he lied and got caught lying, in almost every thing he said.

So true, and I can't believe anyone is seriously questioning why he lost.

Also, I'd like the thank the Romney campaign and the extreme conservatives for making such a large win possible. Keep up the good work.

Supreme Court Will Take New Look At Voting Rights Act

From the article:

In an order Friday, the justices agreed to hear a constitutional challenge to the part of the landmark Voting Rights Act that requires all or parts of 16 states with a history of discrimination in voting to get federal approval before making any changes in the way they hold elections.

This act has been used since the 1960's to prevent discrimination at polls. Fuzzy wonders: if there's no discrimination, why does this act need to be reviewed?

With so many states effecting new voter ID laws, it seems as if the discrimination has increased in recent years.

He lost because he caved to the right wing nut jobs and lost all sense of being moderate, and because the Republican party doesn't support diversity.

And mostly he lost because the majority of Americans know that despite the bullshit attacks against the President from the day he took office, he still is the better man for the job.

lol all of the above....well not all.... the Republicans have shown an amazing capacity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory....If they ever want to win another election they are going to have to use the same go-for-the-jugular campaign tactics the dems use. Face it folks, the networks/ media and the hollywood millionaires elect our representatives and tell this country of sheep what to think. In a country of children the whitest Rich (and thus apparently inherently evil) guy in America, isn't going to beat Santa Clause....here's an example of the informed voters in america.....in the 1st district in Maryland, the democratic challenger for congress was taken out of the race after it was learned she had voted in Florida and Maryland BOTH, since 2006 in at least two of the past elections (a crime, voter fraud!). . . . . apparently disqualified (but not jailed) too late to be removed from the electronic ballots....she still got about a 3rd of the votes! (instead of the person the dem party in MD had chosen to put into her place) I am sure Romney's choice to be a wuss in the 2nd and 3rd debates didn't help either.... all in all, it was probably the worst run and executed campaign in history!... for crying out loud, the old sick-looking grouchy grandpa McCain even got more votes than Romney! After the Republicans savaged each other in the primary season, they assured that whoever ended up being the nominee would already be ripe for the picking by the exemplary democrat election machine. Ya gotta hand it to them, if someone told me that they would be able to, in America no less, make the fact that someone was a successful businessman a negative in a campaign where the economy should have been the biggest issue i would think that they had lost their minds.... but no ,it wasn't them.... it was the rest of us ....or maybe just me.... gawwwd how I loathe politics/politicians,lol

thank you! finally, someone bothered to address the point of this thread - the SCOTUS agreeing to review the VRA. why? why now? will the conservative majority on the bench strike it down so the 2016 election is a free-for-all?

the south still despises the fact that they have to check up north with those damn yankies before doing anything. you've heard it here in some posters how they dislike the feds telling them what to do.
