Why do gay guys always chime in on the "Asking Ladies ONLY" Threads?

Not to say gay guys aren't Ladies but I always wondered why I feel drawn to post on these Asking only the Ladies threads.

I mean, do the straight guys feel drawn to post on the "Asking only the Gay Guys" threads?

Not to say gay guys aren't Ladies . . .
Are you serious? Speak for yourself, Mary Helen.

I mean, do the straight guys feel drawn to post on the "Asking only the Gay Guys" threads?
a) I've never seen an "Asking only the Gay Guys" thread.
b) I've seen plenty of "straight" guys post with the expectation that only "ladies" will look at their dicks and make comments, which given the demographics of the site seems fairly naive and ridiculous.
c) I think unless you're doing a something like a specific sociological study, dividing people and their opinions according to gender, race, sexual persuasion, etc. is silly.
d) One could always dismiss the opinions of gay folk, straight folk, menfolk, womenfolk, etc. if they didn't think them relevant. So, who cares?

Presumably the members who start these threads are signalling that they're only interested in reading the responses of female members, fine then they can just read those responses and ignore the rest.

This is an open massage board, are you as mystified by Gay members who respond in threads in the Straight Adult Sites sub forum? Or Straight members who involve themselves in discussions of Gay porn in the Gay Adult sites sub forum?

Until there's a feature which makes it somehow possible to directly exclude those members whose responses your not interested in then I don't see the problem with anyone who is interested in doing so responding to whatever threads they like.

Besides us gays being talented, environmentally conscious, fashionable and usually pet loving, we are also nosey! :biggrin1:

You just described my bestfriend:biggrin1: I like to read what everyone posts, I read some of the gay only stuff and have posted on it. I'm just as happy to hear what a gay guy or girl has to say as a straight person. Makes no deference to me we are all people.

Starting a thread with the title "Asking Ladies ONLY" is like starting a thread with the title "Don't Click Here!...... unless you want to see hot dick pics"

What do you think a gay guy is going to do?

Speak for yourself, Mary Helen.

It's "Nancy", puleeze *eye roll to back of head* *cluck*

You're right. These threads are rare. I think cuz most gay guys could care less who posts on their threads and aren't straight phobic.

You forgot about all the men pretending to be women here. Gawd.

But everyone loves being a nosey. It makes our little lives a little less dull.

Yep, human nature dictates that when you're told do something you do the opposite.

I can't speak for the "gay guys", but I tend to view LPSG through the "CP" (Control Panel, to view threads I have subscribed to) and "New" links. So I don't always notice which forum a particular thread is in.

More particularly, I respond to whatever threads I feel like, and the OP's wishes don't really figure into my decision to respond (or not). Don't like it? Put me on ignore.

Alrighty then, Nancy boy.

Although I've known more than a few highly evolved 'straight' men - generally speaking, in American culture at least, gay men are by very definition way less uptight about such things.

You forgot about all the men pretending to be women here. Gawd.
And a few vice versas.

But everyone loves being a nosey. It makes our little lives a little less dull.
Again, please speak for yourself Mary Hel . . . oops sorry, I mean Nancy. Gawd! My life is quite colorful enough, thank you very much, without concerning myself with what others are up to.

In an open forum such as this, it seems rude to me to attempt to exclude anyone from responding to a thread!
Ditto.

Because homosexuals put their business in places they should not be in the first place. :ponder:
Wow. Now that's very evolved of you. It sounds kinda . . . oh, what's the word . . . homophobic?

I, for one, only put my 'business' in places where it's wanted.

Phobic deriving from the word phobia is the Latin word for fear. I do not fear gay people. I'm tired of gays creating drama where there is none. And being selfish little brats when you don't get your 'way'.

Thanks for the lesson. I was actually Prez of my Latin club. The word in use has a wider connotation that precisely describes your attitude.

As far as "creating drama where there is none" and "being selfish little brats when you don't get your way", I'm not sure what you're referring to. Would you care to elaborate, be more specific, give examples?

And since you included me in your assessment, perhaps you'd also like to explain how you know that I'm gay?
