Guys are self-conscience about dick size period....I have 2 friends who are really small (one abnormally to me)....One brags about his size and a girl told me how disappointed she was....She said she only slept with him because of how good he said he was in bed because of his dick size....She still talks bad about him to this day....The other guy who is abnormally small tells women he has a tiny dick....Not sure but I think women think he is joking and sleep with him....Both of these guys get laid a lot....They both could charm the pants of women....

If I was a women in that situation I would be more turned off by the deception rather then the lack of dick.

Maybe if the guy was only interested in a one night stand then his tactic worked. It's not his fault for bragging but her fault for believing him.

Or maybe he just made a couple of innocent jokes and she took them more seriously than they were meant.

I think if it was me I wouldn't make that kind of claim, not through fear of living up to it but through fear of the woman I was with thinking I was an dickhead

Not to mention the fact that if a guy starts the relationship by using deception to get his way, who knows what else he'll lie about down the line, further into the relationship.......

I disagree with bragging as much as the next guy, but at the same time, how many women do you know who wear wonder bras, or "chicken fillets" in their bra to make it look like they have bigger breasts? Surely that's as much false advertising as the guy saying he was hung. After all, if a guy shoved a "chicken fillet" or a pair of socks in his underwear to make a bigger bulge, he'd be seen as ridiculously insecure, yet women do a similar thing all the time.

Double standards?

I don't think so, having small breasts can effect the type of clothes a woman can look good wearing. i.e. a small breasted women might feel uncomfortable wearing a halterneck top as it will highlight that area. So if they wear padding they have a larger range of clothes at their disposal.

This is slightly different from stuffing socks down your pants as having a small dick doesn't excatly cut out many items from a mans wardrobe

It's just sad that men feel compelled to lie about these things in the first place, that our culture has engendered this atmosphere where it's so bad to be average or less in terms of that physical trait.

And of course the truth will surface, particularly if things go the intimate route.

But we see this sort of thing every day and in all areas of life--people making poor choices even though the comeuppance is all but guaranteed to come around. From racking up massive credit card debt to taking up smoking to cheating on a spouse or SO, this sort of irrational denial is a part of human existence. Short-term justification can make people do crazy things.

What we have to question is how we let things get to that point.

I hope this guy recognizes the pointlessness of these lies and effects a personal transformation to stop this behavior.

LOL, I've spoken to women about this, and the honest ones will tell you it's not about finding clothes, it's about looking like they've got bigger tits, and they'll also tell you the lengths they have to go to to get rid of the offending articles when it comes to getting to the bedroom with a guy and undressing.

I don't know why a guy with a sub-par penis size would brag about being "hung." Insecurity is certainly possible, as I highly doubt that he doesn't know the average size and hasn't measured his own dick (who hasn't?). Bragging when you can't back it up is certainly ill-founded.

But what about the ethics of "bragging" about size in general, supposing one is well-endowed. Here's my theory: There's a time and place for everything. I would never brag to a girl who I cared about or wanted a legitimate relationship with. I would never brag to a girl who was obviously smart and well-cultured.

Having said that, I have bragged about my "size" before in order to secure a one-night-stand. A while back I bragged to two girls in Cabo San Lucas, which resulted in a 3-some. I highly doubt they would have "teamed" up on me if it wasn't for the curiosity about my size. The first thing they asked was, "Can we see it?"

I think that generally speaking, bragging is a bad idea either way, and makes one come across as arrogant.

It's the quiet guys, the ones who DON'T brag, that you have to watch out for. Or look for? They're the ones with the big dicks.
[post=343025]Quoted post[/post]

I resemble that remark! :)

The size of my dick has never been part of any conversation I've had with a woman, before we were in a situation where she could see for herself what I had.

I wonder if that's why I get comments about people surmising that I am really large. I just don't talk about it. For me, it's both because I'm not very big, and because I refuse to lie to someone.

And yet, the assumptions keep occuring...

It's a perfect tactic to get a chick in bed (not that I would do it) and once the clothes are off and you're about to enter her, well, there's very little chance of backing out at that point.

I can't tell you how many chicks I've known in this life, good girl and slut alike, who have had sex with guys that they've not really been into but did it anyways because they were 'pressured' because the guy was forward and persistent.

Chicks dig forward and persistent cats and sometimes..just sometimes, arrogant and cocky. This is especially true for younger chicks in thier early 20's and sometimes much older. Once you've got the panties off, 99 times out of 100, you're in there where she's going to take the ride, liking it or not.

Sounds harsh and sexist, but be damned if I haven't found it to be true.

there's two routes i usually go:

1) she's a whore, and it's been a number of months. all you have to do is get on the topic of size, and you're in.

2) she's a nice girl, and you're trying to impress her. so you're on the couch holding hands or whatever, and then you're like BAM! erection, and let her come to her own conclusion.

of course, neither of these work if you're small

I’ve given it a bit of thought and now I am wondering if it is that much different than the 100 lies I’ve seen guys tell girls to try to get them into bed. Most men looking to impress someone else are not going to say that they are unemployed or that they drive the $100 Hyundai Pony in the lot. Even if nobody asks they will volunteer the lie that they are studying law and drive a Harley (too bad it’s winter and garaged till spring.) Does it matter what they do or what they drive or how big they are? Probably not to some women, but to others it may get them to their goal quicker. Even though it may only increase their chances a bit I have seen some guys I know lie until I would be unable to confirm that it really was them based on the lines they had just fed the girl- and I’ve seen it “work.” I have seen girls who were not interested get more interested and start to warm up to the pile of steaming crap the guy is spewing. If they thought that saying it was huge would get them into bed they would undoubtedly say it and just hope that when they stripped the lady would take pity on them, not say anything and just let the night continue. I would not say it was a good idea and I think it is sleazy- but some guys just don’t care.

On the other hand a lie about a car or job isn’t something that may damage your self esteem if discovered. I would assume that having a woman leave your bed in disgust (even if it was because of the lie and not your size) would hard to handle.

What she also told me is that this guy, on previous dates and last night, was always making comments about his big hands or feet and "you know what that means" or making other comments that hinted at the size of his cock. Anyway, what she found when she got his pants off is that he had "five inches if he was lucky."

What she wondered is why guys do this. She said she could almost see exagerating your size if you never had any intention of trying to sleep with the woman. What she couldn't see is bragging about it when you did hope to sleep with her, but not being able to back it up.
[post=342863]Quoted post[/post]
Just out of curiosity, did it work? Did she take pity on the guy and let the night progress? If so she may have found part of her answer as to why a guy would do so- because sometimes there are no consequences to lying- even after the lie is exposed.

No, they really just fooled around on the couch, according to her. His pants came off, but here clothes stayed on. She told me that, when she grabbed his cock, the head barely peeked out on the other side of her hand. She said she tried to give him a bit of a hand job, but it wasn't easy with so little to work with. He apparently finished himself. I believe here story, because she have a pretty open relationship and she doesn't have any real reason to lie to me.

I think this thread has been pretty much answered but I might aswell throw in my usual dig at society which I'm sure you're all bored of hearing.

They lie because society tells us huge dicks are to be admired, so, we believe it and get used to thinking in ways society dictates us to, so they exaggerate their size to make themselves seem more desireable.

However, it may just be ignorance, it might be that they've never ever seen another cock before and only been with girls who had no concept of size, so they do actually believe that they have a large penis.

I'm a little late on this but what the hey...

I've had guys say they were average when they were in fact tiny. I never thought of it as a lie, just a stretch of the truth. I've met guys over the net that claimed to be 8 or 9 inches and in person turned out to be average. I've never figured that one out. As stated above repeatedly, we're gonna find out.

Incidentally, have you ever heard of a woman bragging about having an extremely tight pussy?

Made me think of a random woman bragging:
"My pussy is so tight it makes a rat's ass look like the channel tunnel!"
