Applying for the thought police?
I have to concur. Of course the statement is offensive to the people he's referring
to, but hey, people say offensive shit every day. One guy I work with sings lyrics
I find politically offensive, does that mean he should be fired? No. Everybody is so
bloody over sensitive these days. There are people who are going to dislike or even hate you, sometimes just because of the way you dress. There are all kinds
of opinions out there. The minute we start censoring certain opinions and allowing
other is when democracy and free speech dies. True free speech is being allowed to say what you think without fear of being persecuted for it. If we start doing that
then we are no better than a certain group that tried to take over the world 60
years ago. Just because the facism is politically correct facism does not make it any
less opressive. If someone said they didn't draw a colour line, and found anybody
who did to be a "bigot", can they be banned for offending the "bigot" with their close-minded view of that person's choice to date within their own race? I doubt
it would happen due to the fact that its not politically correct and socially trendy
to say you keep to your own in a sexual sense. Now I'm not taking sides here.
Just trying to draw a picture of what would happen if the "Dey Be Hoes" comment was reversed. And that is my opening post. Debate it amongst yourselves.
