    "Cute"

    haha. gotcha!

but 4real. Whenever a girl asks me her opinion on how she looks and I use the C-word they get disappointed. Why?

You look good! You look cute!.... is that not flattering enough?

I'm not a woman but I'll take a stab at it:

It's the same reason guys don't like being called a "nice guy". Both that and "cute" imply that the subject is nonthreatening and nonsexual. Few people find those qualities to be complimentary.

    Well I like it!!!

But lots of guys and girls don't!!!

I think its a misconception of what it means....

    Cute can be sexy....

When my pic gets reviewed on facebook people nearly always rate me as cute or pretty...hardly ever hot!!!

But it doesn't bother me...I don't think my features are hard or sharp enough to look sexy -sexy!! and I know it!!

I look innocent but I'm nortey underneath and therein lies the contradiction!! ;-)

I think that it is in how you use the word "cunt" or any other derogatory.

It is in subtext...tone...how it is placed in communication.

You use it in a sentence like in a Henry Miller way:

"Oh man, I loved that woman! She fucked me relentless. She used to give me reach arounds and fingered my ass with her California nails. Oh, what an incendiary cunt she was."

Or in a Harlequin romance way:

"Miller possessed Reina. His hardness to her softness. His kisses commanded her submission. She submitted but with a twinkle in her eye...she reached for his loins and ravished Miller with her tongue. She lavished his veiny baton and Bocci balls.
Miller was out of breath with excitement...

Reina, I love you. All I want is your cunt. I want to be one with you."

Or in a vicious drag queen way:

"Why you evil cunt!!! You snagged my goddamn hose with your fake ass dolla store California nails! You are such a crotchity bitch with Sciatica and Scoliosis and topped with a cunted cherry. Look at you and people scream "BLOODY FUCKING SUNDAE!!"

Cunt you very much!!!! CUNT!!!! "

To invisibleman: I believe he was actually talking about the word "cute", despite the misleading title.

EDIT: Galaxus and I replied at the exact same time, sorry

i like being called cute if i am called it. i can be really silly most of the time so its like a pass to be silly if im cute about it,does that make sense lol?lol.but im lil too(short) so i get called cute cuz of it. and im super clumbsy too lol. a guy hasnt really called me cute. mostly girls lol.i think its adorable if a guy says cute so im good with it.

but i get how it can be annoying if u like a guy. cuz cute is like something u call a lil puppy."awwww how cute!" kinda thing.if ur shooting for sexy and u get called cute, thats kind of a bubble burster lol.ive never really known a girl to be that bothered by it but guys seem to not like it .i say it alot and guys go "IM NOT CUTE!"

That's because 'cute' and 'manly' are generally two separate things in society. Like you said, a puppy, kitten, or baby is called cute. Only women (or gay men) call men cute. Most men will acknowledge other men are handsome, but I've almost never heard a man call another man 'cute' without being gay.

You think that's bad, try calling a girl churlish and cantankerous... sheesh, that cunt'll get uppity real quick.

I am one of those "cute" girls. I'm 24, I look 17. I don't always like being called cute. I get the "you're too much like a kid sister" line often. It doesn't ever really make me angry. I'd rather be called cute, then ugly, or not be called anything at all. I know if I do my makeup right and wear the right clothes, I can be sexy or smoldering or whatever, but I fit the cute archetype just fine. And that's only on the street. I think guys are happy to find that I'm the complete opposite of innocent in the bedroom. It works for me.

Perception is everything.... Some girls are HOT, some are Cute, some are Exotic... Some are Hardbodies and some are softbodies....

I would have to imaging that she thinks shes stunningly beautiful.... not cute and adorable.

Ok I guess I can understand that. But even when I call my friends (the one's i know that i'll get with) cute, they get mad.

I don't want to use the word 'sexy', because then they'll say that I have my mind in the gutter.

Personally i think "cute" is very good. :yup: Sexy is the type you take home, fuck and leave, but cute is the type you take home and keep.

Now if we're talking CUNT, then i've got one so no big deal being called one
