This assumes women attach the same importance to physical attraction to the opposite sex as men do. Women do not.
In a university study 90% of women ranked how much money a man has as the number one or number two most important characteristic out of a list of ten. Women ranked how physically attractive a man is 6 out of ten.

No they didn't. I repeat: most but not all of my older sister's friends wanted to get with me. All knew. Not all pursued. Some expressed contempt. My sister was harshest of all.
Again you miss the point. Wealth (high social status) IS attractive to women and instinctually so. Lack of it is unattractive. It is not prostitution. Please try to think outside the box of your own male brain.
This is due to our procreation instinct. Females want males that will make good offspring and will provide for such offspring (hence the social status). Just as we look to attractive and younger (thus fitter for procreation) women.
So they are attracted to the money not the man. Not the sane thing. When we meet someone for the first time we check out their physical traits. The woman is either attracted physically and sexually or not. The money has nothing to do with lust and desire. Willingness to choose a man for money does not equate to being attracted to the man
