Why don't you have a verification pic?

Because I just come here to read and post. I have been with my boyfriend for over 4 years now and see no reason to have to verify my looks in order to make friends. I know who I am, he knows who I am and that is all that matters to me.

I'd think that the threads I respond to and the tone I use would be enough to prove I'm a woman. I have 2 moderators on my friends list that can see my face and body shots. I defy anyone to say I'm a fake. Another thread I read months ago mentioned that a series of questions that only women or transexuals would know should be enough to prove you're a woman...HUGE HINT for the way to verify the women of the Real Ladies Group!

I just cammed with prettyswinggirl and can verify she is a real lady! Thanks PSG.

Frankly, I have never doubted you are a real woman.
You sound like a woman!

Awww . . . thanks Luka :smile::smile:. Maybe it's all the exclamation marks and emoticons (I read a post once where someone said they believed women use them more often).

I remember those questions! I failed dismally :redface::redface:.

I only accept women who have verification pics that clearly show they are women.

Ah, okay. That pretty much answers my confusion over how a verification pic can be sufficient.

I'd love to know your suggestions. I'm torn between making it too easy and too difficult.

It must be really hard to find a good mid-ground. I have no suggestions though (I know, I know, I shouldn't be critical when I don't even have a better solution in mind ).

I am afraid that there is a gender bias, because whilst no one needs to see my chest to accept that I am a man, there has been this long history of men pretending to be women. It queers the pitch for the ladies which is a shame.

I wonder sometimes how many women have been scared off because of that.

It seems to me that the only reason verification has become an issue is because there are often men on the internet who pretend to be women. In fact, I have never come across any woman who is pretending to be a man (that I know of, of course...and it is certainly possible that women are better at pretending than men!) With that in mind, the only real reason for a male member here to verify is if he wants to be a Gold Member. Because I have over 1000 posts, there is really no need for my verification pic. No?

I suspect a number have been. Before I was verified I received some quite vicious messages, accusing me of being a guy.

One guy suggested that I was a transvestite trying to take advantage of him. Luckily, once the tears subsided, it tickled me and we're still friends now.

Aww! I don't like tears! Especially when they are running down the face of a sweet lady!

To answer the OP's question: Because naked teddy bears would cause optic nerve damage in some LPSGers.

I'm Mag Wildwood from Wildwood, Arkansas. That's hill country.

A model believe it or not and a thumping bore.

Earl you reminded me of how delicious that movie is. I'm going to watch it again as soon as I am able to catch my breath; I have a lot going on this week. Thanks for reminding me. If you ever want to meet at 5th Avenue near 57th Street I'll buy the coffee and doughnuts.

As I've already stated in that other "fake" thread, all of my shit is fake. And yes, I've been accused of having a dick too....

or maybe that was being a dick?? Funny, can't recall.

While I've never had the vicious messages, I did get called a man in my first days posting. Luckily (for me ), I persevered.

He sounds very . . . creative!
