Oh yeah, that seems like a great solution, except if that were the case every girl would have 3/4 of the room on "ignore" because they will persistently badger you. and then say "I'm shy..I don't want to show my face".

Chat is supposed to be fun, it's supposed to be mutual, it's not a side show and it's not free porn. Nobody is saying that everyone should be on cam, but we are saying that if you choose not to, then don't impose yourself on those who do.

I understand how it can be annoying if someone is asking for something that they themselves aren't willing to give. Guys get it too. Many times in chat I was asked for pictures or to cyber by men and women with no profile whatsoever.

I agree. If someone tries to order me around and refuses to turn a cam on or stop, I prohibit their viewing me. This also goes for people wanting to private chat--if I deny it, I do NOT want to chat with you. These idiots can only be stopped by adding them to your BLOCKED list in the chat room.

I'd love to show my face & body on cam, but the few times I tried it the woman didn't want to put their cam on. Not even to show their face and fully clothed. It kind of took my motivation away from wanting to cam.

As a person who doesn't show face, I completely disagree with this point, DGirl.

First of all, let's consider the reasons why people don't show face.

1) Perhaps they have a career that could be jeopardized if their face was exposed. (ie, celebrity, doctor, teacher, etc) I know it sounds silly but with technology being what it is, screen caps, and webcam feed "catchers", you'll have to forgive me if I only show my cock to some random person online that I've only spoken to a few times.

2) Perhaps they don't look like their avatar (as mentioned by cigarbabe, in her own way)

3) Perhaps they are havng a bad day (look fat, acne, etc)

4) Some people just like to keep the world of the internet seperate from their real life. It's two worlds to them and they can't meet. It's a personal preference, and while I don't always udnerstand it, I do respect it.

I'm sure there are others, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

Having said all this, I tend to agree most with number 1. I love seeing faces on cam, just like you do, Dgirl, but I'd never risk my identity unless I knew you well.

However, if I can be honest, I suspect most of the people in here are either 2 or 4.
