I don’t think there’s been a change to pricing. You have always needed to be a gold member to view photos freely.

I actually haven't changed anything regarding charging. Here are the changes I've made

Besides that everything is 100% exactly as it was. So the charging to view galleries was always the case unless you used to be gold member?
Domeboy, you've been with the LPSG for more than 9 years; that's amazing! Please, may I suggest holding on a little while longer and give the new owner a chance before you leave. I've watched some of the threads closely and the new owner truly cares and shows a great interest in each of the members here on LPSG. I hope you'll reconsider, and I don't think you'll be the least bit sorry you stayed.

I am a verified member and got my gold status without being charged by going through the verification process (Its super simple, honestly took me less than 10 minutes and was approved in less than 5 hours). its possible you may have been a gold member and somehow that is not the case anymore, or perhaps you were vising the site with a friends log in who was a gold member. either way I can assure you nothing has changed on the site since Mr. LPSG took over. Well, let me restate that. a few changes for the better as in more rapid response to member concerns, quicker response to reported abuse/violations, and the fact that I have seen the owner engaging in forums more n two weeks than I have in 6 months. Please let's give the guy a chance to do what we have all said needed to be done for a long time, and that's bring a fresh view and some new ideas to the site. his team seem to have a great pathway laid out and some pretty stable heads on their shoulders. You've been here a long time, the site would be lessened by your loss, so why not stick around a bit longer and see what comes.
