I'm a Millennial and I don't understand what Gen Z finds aesthetically pleasing about high-waisted Mom/Dad jeans. They're hideous and not flattering on anyone, imo. I'm not against skinny jeans being out of style because they're uncomfortable, but I feel like slim or straight leg mid-rise jeans would be a good compromise. Has anyone else noticed Gen Z's obsession with the high waisted mom/dad jeans, and if so, any thoughts for or against?

They (like most generations) are anti ANYTHING the previous generation did.
Low rise was the rage before... so they rebel and embrace high/ultra high rise.
Also... they aren't really in control of the trend, they're being fed what the influencers are being told to feed them.
Low rise skinny, Leggings, Jeggings were huge for a long time, so now the opposite is in. This causes people to go
out and replace everything they own. After a few years the trend will revert or move on to the next thing.
