Why is it culturally ok to make fun of small penises?

This is a long thread, so I apologize ahead of time if my opinion has been given already.

Truth is, it is culturally common for short ANYTHING to be made fun of or discounted, so I wouldn't single cock size out. Short men in height are perceived as weak, and it's been this way since who knows how far back in time? The bigger is better mantra is societal norm. Just think in general people travel to visit the TALLEST tree, the TALLEST waterfall, the TALLEST animal at a zoo or in the wild, etc.

It doesn't the least bit surprise me that the guys I've known in life, myself included, that have teensy peens, are ones always struggling to find a romantic hookup. The few guys I've known who have whoppers are NEVER, and I do mean NEVER, struggling to bed someone. Size queendom is real.

There’s a high degree of ignorance and immaturity coupled with a lack of understanding and/or compassion around discussion about male genitalia from my observation, especially in today’s society. I absolutely HATE when people take cheap shots at an ex (be it man or woman) about their bodies. We can’t help how we developed nor should we be judged for that very thing we had no control over. It’s a sad reflection of the times we live in today that people are reduced to nothing more what they are carrying in their underwear by an ignorant and vindictive minority.

I don’t agree with shaming women, for that matter, but I gotta admit I do hate the way they gossip about previous partners as I have witnessed firsthand, kinda makes me wonder just how much they might have changed their opinion from what they told me before we called time on everything...

Men have the ability to stand up for themselves or can laugh at themselves and don't need help from some "authority" (politicians, media etc.) to defend them from being offended, it called having a thick skin!
Political correctness has no place in a free society! A little mindfulness can quickly overcome the damage to a person's ego after hearing a joke made at their expense.

No, "a little" mindfulness doesn't solve it. The unpleasant stereotypical reaction formations developed in response to being small tell the story. What ideation is available to serve as a reasonable defense mechanism?

I do agree however that political correctness enforced by the State isn't the answer!

Very difficult to accept you are a despised minority with little or no support and act rationally in response.

I'm talking, of course, about the actually small, not delusionally small guys 5-6". Within the "average" range men can console themselves they have plenty of company and just need to avoid "size queens."

Once I was at a new girl friend's birthday party at a bar. In a booth with her girl friends, somehow the conversation turned toward how frustrating it was to go to bed with little dick guys: how hard it was to "take" their egos when they had nothing in their pants to back it up with, etc. They should "know" their little dicks just make a girl feel bad about themselves and stick to giving head. There should be a law that little dick guys "warn" you, etc. It went on and on.

Soon, I was pretty sure my new "girl friend" had informed her friends what I was like in bed. She was oddly quiet and I noticed her trying to change the subject. They were enthused with the topic, however, and continued, some with explicit war stories.

There were a few comments about how quiet I was. I guess I feigned stoicism and lack of interest. Couldn't think of a good approach. Yeah, I didn't consider an outright defense of the small. I thought about leaving, but that would be perceived as "running away."

Finally, my girl friend said something to the effect she enjoyed some small guys which just intensified the conversation. Some reminded her of things she had said in the past about specific little dick guys, how she liked so and so's big cock, etc.

Never did figure-out why these women were so intent on breaking us up. But it worked! Finally figured they "thought" they were helping her get rid of me, though they might have had some sort of attitude about her, not really friends.

Given the fact that over 92% of guys fall between 4.5" and 6.5", the obsession over size seems silly. Big dicks do look hot, sure, but there's more to it all than size. We can admire big guys, and that seems fine, but some if the weird worship goes too far, and the shaming of guys under-average is not right. At 6", I'm solidly average, but I'd never shame anyone smaller than me. And when I was with a guy that was 8.5", honestly, it was awkward at times. So, let's just all appreciate everyone.

While I understand your explanation, I guess the question is really why would this one case of belittling a perceived biological weakness be so culturally supported while it is so culturally frowned upon to belittle people's physical appearance.

Hmm well I’d say the thing about appearance is a newly learned behaviour. It depends on the culture too. Go to Asia and in places like China and Korea the ajumma’s will make fun of people’s appearance openly. Same with my Jamaican family.

I guess we still haven’t culturally learned to lose the dick jokes. Because, well, why would the opportunity ever arise for anyone say “hey don’t laugh at his small dick” ?
