Good Morning,

There's several subjects that could apply to this topic, however I just want to approach a couple....

First, why is it wrong in some eyes to have or show nude pics of yourself? We've all heard or said in regards to employers, "don't let them see or know that you are posting pics or you could get fired" Why? What does having nude pics have to do with your job?

Second part, that somewhat ties into the above. For the most part, the only way someone is going to know that it is you, is if you have a face pic. Why is having a face pic along with your nude pics wrong?

For those of you that haven't posted face pics, why not? I'm considering including a face pic here. Why not?

Sadly society does judge people and most of the society are sadly not open minded.

I have bizarre fetishes, I post nude pics on LPSG, I do look at porn, I draw erotic art. The common person would immediately see me as a pervert and wouldn't want anything to do with me. Only those who are open minded wish to see beside the dirty bits to see if there the person is good or smart. I learned my lesson and don't judge people as I used to.

But it might also be fear, like if your employing a worker who posts nude pics of himself on the net, then even if your ok with it, you might worry what OTHERS will think of it when they find out.
And of course same goes for people here.
I don't post my face since I'm not proud of it and I also don't want people I know to find it out how I look naked and that this shy boy is actually having a naughty side.

I guess the weird part is, I don't feel as much ashamed to admit the erotic art bit as admitting to be taking photos of myself nude.

When is the last time you and your boss talked about banging someone, or what kind of porn he or she likes? Employers care because it affects the companies/units/whatever's image. And you may think "Well if the customer saw it, then they look at this site and wouldn't care", but A: Employers wont look at it like that, and B: It can easily become gossip, which when it can REALLY get bad. Did you hear that guy at the Kinko's store like taking lewd photos of himself and showing people? And in America, sex is supposed to be private. Hell, I could go even further. If someone found out that you are bi, you could be the target of a sexual harassment suit by some homophobic wacko, and that isn't good for business. And it is just an embarrassing reason to get fired. Not that you should be embarrassed, but some people will definitely try to make it so.

So I guess the reason for "Why not?" is why set yourself up for a worst case scenario? If you want to take that risk, whatever it may be, then go ahead.

The legal perspective: generally speaking, youremployer's gotno business knowing about your life outside work. BUT, if it becomes public, and in some way reflects on the business in question, it could be a problem for you.

The bigger concern is actually this: say
you're accused in some kind of sexual harrasement case. Your accuser would have the right to go into your postings on a site like this and your porn surfing habits, etc, etc. Not that that kind of material actually goes into evidence ultimately. But the accuser would definitely be able to muddle around in your online erotic life in the pre-trial discovery phase.

We recently hired a gaggle on summer interns. Part of the interview process was for us to review their Facebook or other personal profiles online. I totally disagree with the process, but the corporate culture in my opinion, has gotten way to invasive into peoples personal lives.
There were several candidates that we declined to make an offer due to the content on their social profiles. Be careful what you post. If it can ever be tied back to you...it will hurt your job opportunities.

The company which i work for has issued a new employment regulation that requires that we do not make public any comment which may be detrimental to the company image anywhere on the net or to use the company logo in a fashion which may do the same.

So, as i am not high profile or celebrity i am safe to post as many nude shots as i like so long as i am not wearing my uniform in any of them.

Too many people are scared of being seen naked and really i think if a lawsuit for unfair dismissal was launched in the event that you were fired then the odds of winning are high. Nudity is natural and this is NOT a public place like Facebook or Youtube where membership is ageless. I think most people would be too embarrassed to admit they saw your naked pics let alone make an issue out of it. Mine stay up with pride!
