Over the years I have obviously seen users get Banned but now I am also seeing Pending Deletion. What is the causes? For instance a relatively NEW member that I had connected with has been Banned - NOT-NotYoursYet666? Are these due in part to rule violation or as I have suspected previously some are fake or false users trying to direct audiences elsewhere?

Just curious

Hi

One question I can answer, the other falls under Mod Club rules...we don't talk about Mod Club.

Pending accounts are folks who have requested deletion. The process can take up to 30 before an account is actually deleted. My assumption is the 30 days is part place the queue snd giving folks time to rethink their decision. Deleting is permanent, no take backsies.

Banned users. Some broke a serious rule, there 4 insta-ban infractions, or finally warning out at 60 points. The 60 points thing happens because each warning increases the penalty of the warning. Hit 60, boom, to the dark side of the Alice.

Thanks for asking this. I was just going to ask it myself and saw this. There certainly are a lot of “pending deletion”s lately. Interesting.

There have always been a ton of ‘pending deletions’, it just wasn’t mentioned on the profile card. There can a hundred or so deletions a day. Many are members who are less than 24 hours in.

We have far, far more people joining than deleting, so the net is in our favour.

It's interesting that you mentioned the 60 point threshold for banning accounts. The old TOS used to break down the points system for the members but I don't see it posted in the revised Rules section anymore.

@Yes.No.Whatever

There is a long list of bells, whistles and random bonus screws that need tightening since the update. I'll drop a note in Modland to see if point expo is something that is going be reposted.

Short take is

0 points for friendly reminders of DM, Telegram, Wrong Ask Forum and Bumping.

5 points for a first warning for Telegram, DM, Bumping and Wrong Ask Forum. First warnings happen after friendly warnings get ignored.

10 to 20 points for Inappropriate Behavior/Language/Content, False Accusations, Obscuring Names and the like

Selling, Suspected Minor and Return Banned Member are kill switch fouls = 65 points

All warning 5-20 all double with each subsequent warning issued in a 6 month period. Most warnings come with a 1 or 2 month expiration window.

Warnings can be stacked and reinstatement is not possible until the accounts total points are less than 60.

Umm I think that covers it? Hopefully this didn't confuse anyone more than they might have been at the start.

Also brevity is not a gift I have to share. Not short.

So stupid question WRT "Pending Deletion".

While it's clear that a person whose account gets deleted will have their media deleted, does "deletion" include their posts?

It does not. The deleted account is renamed with a random set of numbers - the posts left behind then reflect this change.

Just out of curiosity, what are the DM circumstances that apply? I think it's safe to assume merely sending a private message to someone who has their settings able to receive them is not a violation?

And what is "Telegram"? While I know the convention definition of the term, I have no idea the online meaning of it.

Finally, regarding the Wrong Ask Forum...while I'm sure there have been innocent mistakes in all the different sub-sections, but it is almost an epidemic in "Ask a Straight Man", including some non-straight men whom I suspect know better, but are just testing things. Some of us have been asking for a sticky explaining the rules in that section like the one in "Ask a Woman" for a long time, but it seems either a blind eye is turned to policing the former compared to the latter and violations are not as strictly enforced.

The DM rule is asking for content to be sent/DM or telling folks to DM for content. Mostly as a spam killer. I've waded into threads just to delete page after page of "DM/send me" posts. Mod rage is real.

Sending another member is lawful good unless the content sent is a violation of ToS. Also unsolicited dick pics are a no-no.

Telegram is a messenger service. Lots of content traded, groups and the like. Forbidden on LPSG. And another spam generator. One mention of TG spawn 30 "add me" posts.

Ask forums. Mods run on reports, we don't really patrol for rule breakers. We might find them while off duty fucking around on the site, which is why AaW s so policed. Two Mods are regular posters there and at least two Mods are regular visitors. Ya know the ladies there, they report errant posters.

@LaFemme wrote the sticky for AaW based on here experience as a user and as a Mod. She knows her way around Coven Country.

I'm not a frequent visitor to the various AaM forums. Mostly so I don't have to ban myself for posting in the wrong Ask Forum. But any posts that don't belong can be reported and should be deleted.

Maybe a thread in the general Ask a Man thread where dudes can chime in on what needs improving or what's lacking? It would help get a FAQ/guideline together and stickies at the top.

All the subs kinda have their own vibe. It would be cool to enforce the rules without stripping the personality of the forum.

Like @MickeyLee said, I wrote the stickies on the AAW. It took a seriously long time, but I did it out of love for that forum and my fellow ladies -coven or otherwise. Obviously, the most amount of work was compiling/maintaining the frequently asked questions. If that’s not necessary, a sticky could be added on how to use the forum. If a guy wanted to write up a draft, I’m sure one of us mods could work on it and give it to Mr. LPSG. We just need a volunteer. :)

The wonderful @LaFemme and @MickeyLee have already addressed this and your other concerns in this post of yours that I've quote part of here.

As to your question/concern about the Ask a Forum, that has been an "issue" for what seems like forever. There are folks who like the separate Ask a Fora and those who don't.

Many Members like that there are specific fora for certain folks of a certain demographic who can post their content and seek replies from those of the same ilk. I understand that.

There are some Members who inadvertently post in the wrong forum due to their haste in replying and not paying attention to what Forum it is in which they are replying. Also, I believe many Members only post at LPSG via their telephone, so they aren't always aware of the forum to which they are responding. Mistakes happen.

Then there are the few Members who seem to purposely post in those Ask A Fora in which they are not allowed by the Rules. We address those when Reported. As said in both replies to you above, the ladies do a good job of self-policing the Ask A Woman forum and Reporting those who aren't allowed to post there.

I also see a few guys in the Ask a Straight Man who are also vigilant in Reporting those who aren't allowed to post there. Report it and we'll take the necessary action.

Thanks for your good looking out and sharing your concerns. If you want to draft up a sticky similar to what @LaFemme did for Ask A Woman, you can post that in a Support Center thread. Which IMO is the best place to get the entire attention of the LPSG team.

Thanks to the three Mods who answered my questions as you clarified some of my curiosity over the ins & outs of the rules. I did wonder though when it was stated that it is a violation to request members DM each other for content it refers to pics on other sites or some such for-profit thing and not just stories. I ask because I have noticed it's not uncommon for someone to request a private conversation with other members to share something they can't mention in the thread, which obviously means underage or incest stories. Is this allowed as I've yet to see threads like this challenged or deleted?

Maybe if I get time (the key word being "time"), I might work out some sort of disclaimer for a Mod to post in AASM because along with the same old leading questions, having those who shouldn't be posting in that section becomes annoying for some of us regulars; including a few recently who even went so far to admit they were aware they weren't supposed to be offering their opinion there, but did so anyway.

@MisterB...I'm going to assume you meant to thank me for looking out for the forum and not that I was good looking . Not that I'd either disagree or not appreciate the sentiment with the latter ;). You the best!

You are welcome.

DM me content has become quite the nuisance. Important to remember that LPSG is Report-based. When it's reported, we deal with it. We also often find other similar content while taking care of that Report and we also deal appropriately with that too.

While there are certainly those PMs that may contain unsavory content, we are unable to police that unless the PM gets Reported.

I do know that often such PMs do get Reported. Most often by the recipient when the PM contains content that they are uncomfortable with. Please know that we do take appropriate action when that is Reported.

As far as content you see in the public threads, if any of it is violative of our Rules, please Report that so we can take appropriate action.

If you do find the time, please post your draft in the Support Center. We can get it reviewed by Admin and posted quicker that way.

I agree that it is a pain in the butt to see all the posts in the Ask A threads that are from the wrong demographic. Again, when it's Reported, we take care of it. And often end up deleting more of the same at the same time.

Those who "admit" they know what they are doing when posting in Ask A threads they are not permitted to receive a little bit of our extra attention. ;)

.I'm going to assume you meant to thank me for looking out for the forum and not that I was good looking . Not that I'd either disagree or not appreciate the sentiment with the latter ;). You the best!
How you choose to interpret what I wrote works for me, lol. :p
