I like that ralph nader is running for president, and challenges, even minutely, the two party system, however, he won't win and that takes away any spiritedness in arguments for or against his election. Just no point.

the American electorate is actually seeking a change from the two-party system

as can be seen by the increasing number who describe themselves as independent

the two major parties represent entrenched interests, articulating positions that are largely, and increasingly irrelevant to Americans today

Arguably, Nader's lifetime accomplishements dwarf those of Obama and McCain. I'm not an expert, but I've read that the whole notion of corporate liability for product safety is pretty much the result of organizing and lobbying done by Nader in the '60s and '70s.

Nader became a douche in my book for anglo-izing his name, but accusing Obama of "acting white". The white house has no room for that kind of prejudice, no matter how much experience or accomplishments he has.
