Well, taboos regarding exist in all cultures. However, as many heterosexual activities are forbidden as male homosexual activities (Lesbians generally are neither forbidden nor institutionalized.) in most societies, and the majority of the population's somewhere between 1 and 5.

Abrahamic religions are probably unique in banning male homosexual activity entirely, and even then only Xians focus entirely on homosexual (and now even female) activity, even though the Bible also forbids lots of heterosexual and autosexual activities which most Xians engage in.

This reminded me of something that I always found amusing. In Victoria's reign, a law was passed in England forbidding all male homosexual acts. No similar law prohibitting lesbian sex was drafted. daallasdude: What a helluva topic...books could be written, I hope I don't write one here. I can remember the early days of Stonewall when NYC gays first revolted against supression against gays and the effect went "trickling" down to all the other states. Already in most large cities in this country, gays were "out" to one extent or another. I was born in a small eastTX town where homosex was and to an extent still is, highly prejudiced against, mor socially but also careerwise and other ways too. I was very effeminate at those early times(trying to find myself---reason of life etc.} but as I grew older I became proud of my manhood and began to realize things like a man who likes men wants a man, not a man who acts like women. At the time I am writing this, the last newsbrief on tv was the passing of some new gay rights bill and the story was finalized by talk of taking the gay marriage topic back up before the congress. At this time in this country some states are allowing gay marriages. Something I never believed I would have seen in my lifetime. I hate to sound so shallow, but the way I found this site was to put the word PENIS in my web address search box and voila here I am. You could say gays are fascinated with cock, but, I fdon't think any more than heteros are fascinated with the female breasts, or ass.Thanks for being here LPSG, one thing I do like is that I can get hetero input as wellas homo and it makes for a more well-rounded look at the way the world sees things---not just one side of it. People punish people for all sorts of reasons.I'm not ready to join any gay rights rally,but neither am I ready to form the Gay KKK.The problem is and danger is any type of reform,can also get twisted into a Nazi style reign of terror.For or pro.Look those Abortion Rights morons-ready to kill people to preserve the life of an unborn baby.I think pro or con.everyone should let a woman have a baby-if she wants or not too,if she wants to.Babies and family is the most important thing most people do in their life.

This is just my idea, but I think there are some guys who don't consider themselves gay, but are very curious about other men's bodies & dicks. It's human nature. And there are guys who are on the DL in the black community. It's hard to think about this stuff in absolutes...all gay or all straight. At least it is for me.

Yeah, I think that a lot of this DL shit's stereotyping: I mean, being a closet fudgepacker doesn't have any racial requirements. (For some reason, On the Down Low is on Oprah's book club, meaning you can give it as a wedding present.)
