It simply comes down to this. The intelligence agencies were here long before the invention of modern technology.

Anything, absolutely everything that receives a signal, has the capability to be modified to transmit a signal. The first messengers on horseback, runners were intercepted, bribes made, deception, untrue information was planted.

So, I believe this information is old hat. The very first TV's, telephones, or any other device dependent on radio, landline, analogue, digital...always had the capability to be interfered with, not could have, would have.

Code cracking won the war. Code cracking and intelligence learned very early to always get in on the ground floor with regard to technology. To never be hacked again.

So, type into your device 10 times Pine Gap.............if your device starts to play up........Do not say I did not warn you :). Ok :)

Yes that is true. However I'm not arguing for totalitarianism because that entails using the information for the purposes of some authority's absolute CONTROL of its citizenry. I haven't suggested anything of the kind. I'm only speaking of how intel can be used to stop an act of terrorism.
I think a Judge' warrant should be required in the case of terrorism as well, if citizens are involved; anyway my main point is that generalized control through devices is a nightmare; gathering private data on virtually everybody is not just a privacy violation, is potentially blackmailing everybody. The average Joe has something he is shameful of, maybe something completely silly for everybody else, but still...

Well, NOW our so-called "PATRIOTS" and 'REAL AMERICANS" who make heroes of fkrs like Assange and who celebrate, encourage, and defend the hacking of American servers and foreign intervention in our elections can REJOICE.

Yeah. People who expose the truth in an age of deception controlled by those who wish to control you are always the bad guys hey...

He was around at the beginning of the information age. He realised early governments collected and used information against people who spoke their minds. He was a hacker of a different kind. One that worked for us, not them.

Fuck you. Keep in your own little corner of the Universe with your own little grievances against the world.

This guy has given up his freedom to expose the truth. What have you given up????

Was not with you marinera :). It was with b.c., b.c. does not get the big picture that people who expose the truth through great sacrifice are somehow traitors. b.c. sits at a pc and is able to say what he wishes because of people like Julian Assange.

Julian Assange can't speak for himself these days. Everything he does is either blocked or deleted by people with more power than you or I are even able to imagine. Why.....not because he endangers lives. It is because his original website exposes corruption and truth.

I want to know what b.c. has done in his life that has cost him his freedom of speech??? And to those he owes his freedom of speech to.

I had a friend who was in the Army, got out, and then went to Iraq working for Blackwater. He did psychological operations while in the Army.

He told me that there was a cookbook like recipe. The military likes acronyms so he told me it was called SCAME

It is a way to see how your propaganda is working.

If they can track what websites you go to or listen in on your conversations, they can get an idea as to what effect their propaganda is having on you.

Then they can tweak that message and try to make it more effective.

It gets a little tinfoil hat-like, but I think the ultimate goal is to see when us peasants have finally had enough and go on to march on Washington D.C. with pitchforks and torches. The power elite want to hold onto their power and status.

I can't dispute any of the above. Though I think it safe to assume that the intel gathered via surveillance is shared amongst the various agencies. Bottom line is, I don't think the average Joe has anything to fear from it and I, personally, would rather these agencies being on top of some devious plot of terrorism rather than being taken completely unawares.
The average Joe was the Jewish people. The average Joe is always the one in the middle. The average Joe is always the one you fight so hard for rights to be preserved.

Wikileaks used to be known as promoting "Transparency" in geopolitics. It has now morphed into an entirely Anti-American organization and should be treated as such.
Sure, so you show your face to protect the government wishing to supress you.

Anti American my arse. Anti corruption, exposing secrecy and control of us all is traitorous? Sure. Make up your mind, either you want truth, or to be controlled.

Because it was an Aussie who exposed truth, manipulation by secret organizations of policy, it is anti American.

It is never wrong or anti anything to expose the truth. If you can't live with the truth, then don't be upset if someone tells you a lie. Don't bother posting or linking shit to try and prove truth from lie if you think someone who exposes lies with absolute fact to be a traitor.

I know it was with b.c.. He can express his opinions without having to expose his personal life. Since we both are defending privacy. :)

Julian Assange is the man b.c. needs to thank. Because if it were not for people like him, the internet as we know it now would be a very different place.

Our democratic governments even now try very hard to clamp down on our freedoms, you know it, I know it. If it was not for these guys like Assange who let us know what goes on behind the scenes, these organisations would have free reign to do what they wish without question.

Wikileaks and Assange are now totally aligned with Russian interests and their only goal is destabilization of the West.

Bull Shit :). So, I suppose the CIA and your intelligence agencies have fed you this. Since wikileaks exposed the corruption in your agencies?

Oh, ok, so who are we to believe? A man who has lost all his freedoms when he exposed your intelligence corruption, to an organisation who he exposed as corrupt which controls all your information?

I can see you support, who is it....the CIA against Don...or the CIA against Hillary?

More than that....Does the CIA or all your intelligence agencies work for the American people?

If you have not worked it out.......the CIA and intelligence agencies, work for themselves.

This is what Assange exposed...............No THEY do not. But go ahead, crucify someone who speaks the truth. You are good at that.

The intelligence community in your country is so huge it protects itself. It does not need the American people. It is armed to the teeth and is the first to be protected in time of war. Are you so dense??

Populations are but flotsam and Jepsam

There are 1,500 US citizen intelligence personal alone at Pine Gap here in AUS

not even close.
Spot on McCarthyism. I deplore Donald Trump. Yet I deplore anyone who stands in the way of truth.

You so wish truth, yet when it is exposed that those who are supposed to defend the truth are found to manipulate it...."Alternate Facts".....you cry foul. Typical.

Make up your mind. You want the truth or not. I would take more notice of someone who has given up his life and freedoms for truth than your government organisations.

Oh yeah.................So often have I heard from you and your cohorts of Mandella spending time in prison because he spoke the truth too...........where were you????

Yeah, Assange is a traitor to expose your traitorous secret agencies.

http://americanmilitarynews.com/201...-probe-alleged-cia-hacking-exposed-wikileaks/

I want you in jail because you demonstrated that I was spying on you. You can spy me, I can't spy you.

CIA has acknowledged that wikileaks are true. It is illegal for the CIA to spy citizens. CIA is not a law enforcement agency. CIA is not a spying agency. All in clear form CIA:
https://www.cia.gov/news-informatio...ive/fact-vs-fiction-debunking-some-myths.html

Actually, it is illegal for the CIA to spy anyone : if you are spying a foreigner, you are committing a crime according to the foreigner' law. So, CIA has been doing what shouldn't do, and no one sees a problem in this?

Now, I would like to know what the hell has to do with a terroristic attack Merkel' phone. Let's not be naive please.

May I ask: who CIA represents? Who defends? The People? The Government?

I don't want anyone knows everything about me in aevery moment. Hell, I don't even allow myself to know everything about me. Private space is a basic human need. You create monsters deleting that space.
