Our government has always lied to us and spied on us to varying extents. It's... normal. Most governments do spy on their citizens. Mainly so they know how to dress up a particular issue to get the publics support (or at least get them to think that it's their idea) to prevent rebellion against a desired action of the State. First time I've heard of anyone using the TV to spy on people though. Never really understood why a TV needed a camera and mic in it anyway... guess this is why.

Will it make my phone explode?
Probably not, you don't get info from exploding phones.

But, if your printer suddenly starts up, prints page with the words Australia on it... or another window opens you did not open. My suggestion is you turn it off.

Every device these days is 2 way.

Don may have not been spied upon by the intelligence, but he is in the corporate world. Which thrives on espionage.

For one there is no evidence that suggests torture prevents terrorism or even produces reliable information. Some studies in fact demonstrate the OPPOSITE.

Beyond that, there is no (sensibly logical) rationale to bring it up... none that makes torture comparable to overhearing, via clandestine monitoring, that terrorists, perhaps located in YOUR hometown, for example, are planning to board the next flight out and blow it the HELL out of the sky.

So you TOO are being equally ridiculous now, and having stated my opinion (as you've YOURS) I have nothing further to say to you.
To know that someone spys on me can give me mental problems, but it definitely will influence my behaviour.
That's exactly what torture does.

I certainly hope people have better things to worry about. The planet is deep trouble and I should worry about who is looking at me?

Let me ask you one question, please reply quickly without thinking too much : how would you define a man who believes that the somebody is always spying him?

Bottom line is, I don't think the average Joe has anything to fear from it and I, personally, would rather these agencies being on top of some devious plot of terrorism rather than being taken completely unawares.

The place that you are coming from is moral and very upright
Your argument is logical... yet your notion of what the CIA is and what their functions are remains illogical

It's the NSA who gives the FBI the info to capture terrorists... the CIA isn't really involved in that. The CIA's major function is to destabilize and cause chaos around the planet in the interests of global hegemony.

The CIA routinely shoots people in the back of the head and makes it look like "accidents"... how could anyone have any logical trust in that agency? They are dirty dogs any way you slice it.

The CIA would even hack a political entity like the DNC and create an electronic "evidence" trail that makes it appear as if a foreign power did it. That same CIA would leak bits of this information to CIA friendly press (mainly NYTimes and WaPo but the list of CIA friendly press outlets has grown exponentially by the day until it now encompasses nearly the entire mainstream media) and the country would be marching into war before they even realized what the fuck was really happening... don't forget that the CIA provided the false "evidence" that led us into the disastrous war in Iraq that destroyed the entire region as a result.

The CIA's Remote Devices Branch's UMBRAGE group collects and maintains a substantial library of attack techniques 'stolen' from malware produced in other states including the Russian Federation.

With UMBRAGE and related projects the
CIA cannot only increase its total number of attack types but also misdirect attribution by leaving behind the "fingerprints" of the groups that the attack techniques were stolen from.

UMBRAGE components cover keyloggers, password collection, webcam capture, data destruction, persistence, privilege escalation, stealth, anti-virus (PSP) avoidance and survey techniques.

The CIA is not your friend and they actually do more harm to American citizens than any agency located within the confines of our borders. The CIA is behind this entire Russian hacking bullshit to get us into war just like the CIA was behind the "weapons of mass destruction" bullshit that got us into the illegal invasion of Iraq.

The media is being played for a fool...

... or are they?

The "Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act" allocates $160 million dollars over 2 years to "proactively advance fact-based narratives that support United States allies and interests" - passed quietly without mention in the media in the DAAFFY2017

We also know that the Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (passed quietly without mention in the media) abolished the Smith Mundt-Act which separated the foreign based propaganda from our domestic media.

So... the foreign based propaganda which used to be Radio Free Europe, Voice of America etc is now found within our domestic media... in other words... THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS NOW THE PROPAGANDA ARM OF THE US MILITARY.

Not only that, but that mainstream media gets an EXTRA $160,000,000 over two years to "proactively advance fact-based narratives that support United States allies and interests"... $80 million every year for two years buys A LOT OF NEWS.

Is this money being put in envelopes and spread to "friendly" journalists so they can spread "fact-based narratives that support the US and it's interests"? Or is it being given straight to the editors so they can shape an "atmosphere" where propaganda is disseminated as news and journalists toe the company line according to the "pro-propaganda atmosphere" set by the editor? Or is the money being given straight to the shareholders and the directive is commanded top-down from the board to the editors and on down to the journalists? Or is it a chaotic combination of all of that?

Either way, our MSM has been appropriated as a conduit for the distribution of government generated propaganda... AND there is $160 million floating around to facilitate the advancement of that propaganda... "fact based"? Based on facts? Are they facts or are they "based on facts"? Lolz

And on top of that... the CIA has been increasing it's total number of attacks and also misdirecting attribution by leaving behind the "fingerprints" of the groups that the attack techniques were stolen from.

The whole thing is a carefully planned operation designed to demonize Russia... then to tie Russia to Trump.. and then develop a pre-text for war... ALL using the Mainstream Media as their primary conduit.

The world is full of problems we have to care for and now do create our governments another one.

Yes, you should worry about it.

I have yet to see any solid evidence why I should. If the CIA wants to watch me crap or go back and forth on LPSG then wow have at it.

Yes, but the issue isn't whether or not you take a shit or what you do on lpsg... the issue is whether or not the CIA is capable of driving this country to a war based on false evidence... through it's use of nefarious tools/tactics and a collusion with the corporate sector and the 4th estate.

The question is do we have an executive in the White House smart enough to dissect fact from fiction and competent a security team access all the data. You will always have competing opinions, objectives, known and unknowns.

And besides war is pretty much inevitable. Have you read a page or two of our history? The last 50 years is an anomaly. Enjoy this day.

Respectfully, that's not the question.

I think everyone should worry...
Maybe not because they spy on you (and you don't have anything to hide), but because they spy on politicians, judges and journalists - many people have something to hide (maybe not open gay, have an affair, or debts your family shouldn't know about) and if the CIA can blackmail this group of people, it will influence the life of all of us, you included.

What if you crap once too often and an algorithm says, people who crap too often are terrorists? - you see, the problem isn't nust that "someone could watch you crap", but that the conclusions made out of the observations leads to negative effents for you...

Today it's just a "no flight list" soon it's jail

And no one is watching you... at the end it's an algorithm trying to define who you are

Let me know when it happens. Meanwhile I will focus my concerns on the white rhino that was brutally killed in a Paris zoo yesterday for it's horn. Or the gorillas our closest cousins that face extinction due to loss of habitat.

Does it mean you will move to France, to fight the organized crime?

IT ALREADY HAPPENS
Just think about how the US administration treated the British journalist, who was part of the team interviewing Edward Snowden first.

About the Gorillas you can care at the same time. Or do all pro animal demonstrations happen at the same time as all anti big brother demonstrations?
