Lol.

Seriously guys, you have to be worried. Do you know who gots the power? Not the one who has the money, not the one who who has the bombs, but the one who owns the informations. CIA could be ruling everything despite nor the people neither the law gave the CIA that task and that power.

Assange is protected by Russia, so is Snowden. They would not have a fair judiciary trial in USA (supposing they aren't killed before the trial, which is the most likely occurrence) or any USA' servants. This helps Putin' popularity and weakens USA; Putin' argument is hard to refute: USA does to other Countries (even tight Allies) the very same things that blames on Russa today, Iraq tomorrow, who knows which sovereign State next week.

I believe that both Assange and Snowden would receieve fair trials in our judicial system.

That is quite clear from the attitude of the American posters here. :)

If you were the Judge, would you concede that Snowden' criminal activity is protected by the First Amendment? What I am hearing is kinda going after Bob Woodward instead than Nixon after the Watergate has been discovered.

Wikileaks CIA Docs Suggest Gov. Hides Knowledge of Security Vulnerabilities from Tech Industry

The CIA and NSA are engaged in the same kind of hacking that politicians and the media excoriate the Russians for doing, says journalist Marcy Wheeler

Snowden or Assange getting a fair trial here in the US?

Bwahahahaha!

That's laughable.

I doubt they would ever make it to trial.

They would be assassinated first, and/or have the character or good name dragged through the mud first.

You do know we have droned US citizens on foreign soil before, right? So much for that due process.

And the powers that be have even wondered if it is legal to drone US citizens on US soil:

The thing you folks....the ones who say "I have nothing to hide" don't think about is you are being injured by the taxes you have to pay to support this monstrosity of a spying operation.

The CIA budget was disclosed a few years ago as something like 4 or 5 billion dollars per year.

The NSA's budget has never been disclosed.

But I am guessing their new facility in Utah ain't cheap:

Does it mean you will move to France, to fight the organized crime?

IT ALREADY HAPPENS
Just think about how the US administration treated the British journalist, who was part of the team interviewing Edward Snowden first.

Why should I care? Edward Snowden can rot in hell for all I care. A million humans is worth one gorilla in my book. A week later a million will be born to replace them.

About the Gorillas you can care at the same time. Or do all pro animal demonstrations happen at the same time as all anti big brother demonstrations?

Big Brother doesn't bother me at all. On one hand we have 1 million more people added to planet every week and mass extinctions while on the other we have paranoid individuals having wild dreams of political intrigue and corruption. And the idea that both are equivalent is absurd.

The problem here is that the paranoids are right.

I definitely don't try to talk this problem small and probably it's the biggest challenge humanity ever had to face...
But this doesn't make other problems non existing

You know, I have friend, she is vegan and argues quite similar as you - like, one gorilla for 1 million people. She simply isn't open for other problems. She even refuse to see that, to solve one problem could reduce the pressure on other problems.

I can't understand how people talk about dead chicken, while little children suffer
