Will Bush get his man before he goes?

It was predicted here some time ago, that George W would be desperate to get Bin Laden before the end of his rule. It was even suggested that he always knew where he was, but would wait to achieve a grand finale.

Is the escalation of incursions into sovereign States an indicator of this, albeit without actually knowing where he is clearly (Pakistan is some way from Syria).

Will George have his Roman Triumphal Procession?

It would be better for Bush, if he actually knew all along, to act as if he didn't. To let America degrade to the level that it has just to have a "grand finale" is just selfish and completely unpatriotic.

Even if he did manage to catch Bin Laden before he left office, there's still so many bad marks on his presidency that it would make his "victory" look somewhat insignificant.

Bush's best friend from his National Guard days- the guy whose name was redacted from Bush's service records, was the go between that funneled Bin Laden family money into W's Arbusto oil company...

Set that? A SAUDI oil family investing in a jerkwater Texas drilling company that never found any oil?

Why? Because his DADDY was VP? And then President?

The Bush administration took pains to get ALL Bin Laden money and family members out of the US after 9/11 without so much as an interview....

Because Bush knew full well that any in depth investigation would show not only that the family gave lots of money to Osama- but also reveal all the money the family gave to Bush.


Come to think of it... he might be trying to kill Osama... just to close that chapter for good...
But he sure as hell doesn't want the guy CAPTURED.

I have long believed that they know where Bin Laden is and are merely keeping him 'on hold' until a day or 2 before the election. That way Bush can look like a conquering hero and McCain will win the election.

Bush didn't have his buddy's name on it redacted until after the attack ( pretty solid proof he had no foreknowledge of any attack)

Why do you suppose it is that 15 of 19 hijackers were Saudi, and yet there has not been ANY investigation of Saudi financing and involvement of Al Queda?

Instead, when no one in America could fly- Bush chartered 13 jets to fly all Saudi's out of the country... and prevented any questioning of any one of them.

A saying comes to mind: Never suspect conspiracy when incompetence will do.

Bush has had many, many occasions in the last four years in which the prestige boost of catching bin Laden would help him greatly. Especially in the last two years, he's gotten almost nothing done. Catching Osama would at least slightly salvage his reputation, so if he could, he probably would have by now.

Very interesting article and well worth a read.

It seems simply that the US is employing Death Squad tactics and across Sovereign Borders. The legality of this and their ethics are of course questionable.

I doubt it, but he did manage to settle the score with the man who tried to kill his Daddy, thus killing the only man (albeit a dictator) with the ablility to keep the country together and prosperous and plunged the nation into war on the strenght of a lie, beggar 2 nations (USA and Iraq) in the process, and used the dead of 9/11 to pull off the mother of all personal vendettas.
