There's nothing wrong with trying to be PC. I'd suggest it to anyone trying out for a job in politics. But it isn't a huge requirement for services outside the social realm.

Yes, you can be too sensitive, even to your own self. Some people can't see how stupid reminders are, or how to deal with them.
The fried chicken reminder. Black folks ate it and enjoyed it and loved it because it was cheaper than beef.
Am I supposed to feel shame eating friend chicken because I'm white or feel shame because I eat beef?
