Under the presidency of arch grafter / snake oil salesman Donald Trump and his fellow gangsters, US politics is plumbing depths never before seen or even imagined.

Religious fascists give their support to a depraved disgrace of a man, who happens to have no religious beliefs, is a sexual abuser and is a multiple divorcee. Despite the many presidential crimes, he retains their support!

Likewise the Republican party, which continues to tie its fortunes to a man who is a latter day republican of convenience, who has zero loyalty to anyone but Trump.

But with the genius negotiator caving in to dictator Erdogan during one phone call and betraying not only the Kurds who have carried out the heavy lifting against ISIS on behalf of USA, but also the credibility of US assurances to allies, have we finally arrived at one treacherous act which is too poisonous for the GOP to swallow?

Mr Trump doesn't care. Remember the last time Erdogan was in D.C.:
Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s bodyguards filmed beating up Kurdish protesters during Washington DC visit
At least nine people hospitalised and several arrests made after demonstration outside Turkish ambassador’s residence turns violent

  • Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s security detail has clashed with pro-Syrian Kurdish protesters resulting in hospital admissions and arrests during the Turkish president’s visit to Washington DC.

Dozens of protesters carrying flags associated with the Syrian Kurdish PYD party and anti-Turkey protest signs gathered outside the Turkish ambassador’s residence on Tuesday during Mr Erdogan’s visit to the building.
  • An elderly man holding a megaphone was kicked in the face, and several women were also hit. Police officers can be seen attempting to hold some of the aggressors back, dragging them to the other side of the road, in footage distributed by Voice of America.

“All of the sudden they just ran towards us,” demonstrator Lucy Usoyan told ABC News.

Shocking video filmed by eyewitnesses show several men in dark suits - later identified as members of the visiting Turkish delegation - rushing at the protesters, punching and knocking several of them to the ground.

I keep hearing that (R) are scared of him. He'll make them lose a primary or generate unrest within the Trumptrain voters. I have always thought and stated that he's a national security risk. He has too many financial and now political connections to Russia. Now our own CIA/FBI cannot sit and watch this high treason go unchecked.

Instead we have death threats against and demands for impeachment among members of the House and Greta Thunberg (for completely unrelated but related reasons).

Now we are abandoning the Kurds and NATO treaties that kept watch on Russian military activity. The only person benefiting from these foreign policy changes is Putin.

Nevertheless, it is illegal to solicit a foreign government for any item of value in a U.S. election. This is what the FEC Chairman said and US code is sited in her letter. Only darth sith lords and republicans deal in absolutes, but this is pretty darn black and white to me.

"Last straw" implies there's a pile of straws. There isn't one.

These people have drunk the kool-aid. He's their Jim Jones.

The only thing to do is hope they politically isolate themselves enough to vote them out of office.

I opened and read the file. It is as clear as clear can be that Americans may not accept contributions from other nations or their citizens.

There is no wiggle room in that letter. None!

It appears to me that there are some within the government as some that are not in the government that are choosing totally ignore the rules concerning elections.

There is no way a person can read this and come to any other conclusion unless they are willing to blatantly, continuously lie!

Why trust America? They don't keep their word. They can't be relied on.

Way to gain and keep allies.

I Know - they're called freedom straws that are one-use, throw away plastic that ends up in our rivers, streams, oceans and backyard without any concern. This is a war against reality.

EVERYTHING coming from that fkr and his band of batshit crazy supporters, defenders, and idolizers is a fkng WAR ON REALITY.

To answer the question: No. It turns out that Republicans are remarkably weak on US national defense and foreign policy.

It wasn’t the last straw when he kissed KGB Lt. Col. Putin’s ass and it wasn’t the last straw when he kissed Outstanding Leader’s ass

It wasn’t the last straw when it became widely known that he was a draft dodger who attacked and berated a decorated Vietnam War vet.

Why would betraying some of our staunchest allies half a world away the the last straw?

Yep it is clear as day but they will try and gaslight us and tell us day is night and night is day. The download file has been sent from Foxy News/Ministry of Truth and all drones have applied the patch.

consider nothing beyond the letter in front of a politician’s name.

That's not just Trump supporters. That's anyone who makes a career inside politics. The only people who benefit from playing politics are those who make a whole lot of money playing the game on the inside.
