Hi guys
It´s the first time I write something on this forum (I have read alot)

I´m 22years old and maybe for the last two years, don´t remember exactly, I have problems with my erection. I have problems to reach full erection, and if I does It easy go back down again if I don´t stimulate it in five seconds. I don´t get morningwoods so often and not uncaused erections.
But for a few weeks ago I grabed the phone and called an urologist and I got a time to see him. I really hope that he can help me. I will se him 24aug. I will let you know how it went. wish me luck:smile:

Thank you.
a thought I have is that I might have low levels of testosterone or maybe to much estrogen...? I realy hope that is not a nervedamage or something like that.
I look forward to the visit to the urologist and I wonder why I didn´t make a call earlier. Hope he can help me, not fun to have problems with the erection:(

Tomorrow is the big day:)
I´m very exited but i´m start to be a litle bit nervous.
It´s not often you maybe have to undress in front of a doctor who will squeeze your dick and put fingers in odd places:p
I will tell you how it went out after the visit.

He's most unlikely to squeeze your dick. If he's any good he'll be very professional and put you quite at your ease. He should ask before he does anything closeup. Remember, he's seen thousands.

Don't prejudge that it's hormonal, nerve damage or anything else. It might be stress or just the normal process of moving out of teenage horniness.

Now I have been at the urologist and it was lose of money, he didn´t helped me much. he write out some viagra, I´m 22 and I dont want viagra. He examed my scrotum and took a bloodtest, my testosteronlevel was 11 so it was not so high but not so low that I need to take extra testosteron. I dont know what I should do, he wrote something on a paper and told me that I can go to the "ordinary doctor" and ask for some test and see if I miss something else.

(sorry for my bad english)

It appears to me that the urologist didn't take your concerns and worries seriously enough, which is very unprofessional of him.

What was the test he suggested you have done at your regular doctor ?

If I was you, I would ask to be tested for "vascular leakage" which means that the blood supply to your penis is working as it should when getting an erection, but that instead of "trapping" the blood, it leaks back into the system.

Also, you haven't said anything about possible other health issues. Do you have diabetes or are treated for high blood pressure ? Both can cause erectile dysfunction, E.D.

Don't view today's visit as money wasted as at least you've taken a first step towards addressing a problem which many guys would simply be too embarrassed to seek help for. Don't give up, you'll find out what's causing it and be able to do something to correct it, you'll see.

Make a new appointment with another urologist and this time make sure you explain exactly what your problem is and demand to be taken seriously.
For instance, it's important to say that you still have the urge, just not the ability, also that it's not a problem which only occurs whenever you are with a partner, but also when you're by yourself wanting to masturbate. This will show that it's not a matter of lost libido (sex drive) and also that it isn't a psychological hang up like performance anxiety.

Best of luck to you

I'm sorry to hear your issue was not properly and professionally addressed. Have you considered seeking a second opinion? I think it's going to be worthwhile as I agree with you that a 22-year-old, who apart from his problem sustaining an erection, is healthy shouldn't have to depend on Viagra.

I'm no expert in urology but I'd suggest you see a different urologist - possibly at a different clinic if that's an option.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, mate. Best of luck!

I agree with the above. I'm sorry you drew the card of a less than optimum urologist. Do get a second and/or third opinion. Talk with older men friends and follow their recommendations based on personal experience. At 22, this should be followed up in a timely manner. Good luck.

Thank you a lot guys.
I dont have diabetes or high blood pressure. I´m, almost, never sick.
Maybe it is that you mention: vascular leakage. Why didn´t I ask him about that?
The test he "recommended" (I don´t know how to say it in english) was B-glukos, Tsh, T4, Fsh and Lh, it doesn´t say me much.

I dont think there is no other urologiclinic around here, maybe I can go to the care center and get some help there.

Im disappointed on the doctor and on myself that I didn´t was tougher and asked more.
I have to get some new strenght and go futher whit my problem because i´m tierd to have it like this.

Are you a regular cyclist or smoker? Both are bad for erections. Being a cyclist myself I wouldn't recommend reducing cycling. Instead adjust your saddle position--check angle and fore/aft position before lowering it. If that doesn't fix it try replacing your saddle with a Specialized Toupe, Specialized Phenom, Selle Italia SLC or similar. I went through saddle related erection issues for about 4 months this season. With a good saddle and good bike fit, everything comes back.

If you're a smoker, try to cut back on that.

It could also be that you had a little problem, it's physically gone but now you're just super anxious. Any which way, the Viagra may help in the short term. If you compete in sports, be careful as Viagra is on the WADA banned list.

My Friend there may be a problem here that makes me somewhat curious.

I can't speak Swedish so your English is working just fine with me. . . . .

There are specific kinds of urologists who treat medical conditions related to sex. Boston Medical is worldwide with over 110 clinics in numerous countries and they specialize in treatment of what you are experiencing. Go on the internet and see if they have clinics in Sweden.

The abbreviations you mentioned are simple FSH is Follicle Stimulating Hormone
TSH is Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, Blood Glucose is a basic quickie test for diabetes, T4 depending on the result can be an immune test or one of several for Thyroid uptake because it too can cause erectile problems. Sadly without seeing the numbers as they are written on the test I cannot tell you.

I become very angry at MD's when they do not take sexual problems in a person your age seriously because they can be markers for other things. When he examined you did he do a palpation of your testicles or do a DRE (Digital rectal exam).

Palpation is to feel your testicles for any sign of a tumor and a DRE is to stick his finger up your butt to see if you have prostatitis. Prostatitis can have no symptoms and it can cause erectile problems too.

Message me personally and I would like to talk to you more. My idea is to try and help you find a doctor who will do a far better job and to find one that will take you seriously. I would also very much like to go over your numbers on the tests you had with you so that we can make certain to understand what was or was not done here.

Low testosterone can be a problem and again that can happen at any age. Don't limit yourself in any way approach your problem with an open mind. Viagra is a good product, but it is often misused. It is given when the problem may need something else and it is also given when a direct erectile stimulant needs to be a great deal stronger. It is not a miracle drug and it does not fix everything.

I don´t smoke and i don´t drink alcohol and I eat healthy.

I remember reading an article years ago in a mens fitness magazine. Men who were long distance cyclers tended to wind up with erection issues. Also, their testicles got hard as rocks. I wonder if the doc that did the study had fun doing it?

Hello again
Today I was at medical health centre an saw a "ordinary" doctor. It was litle hard to anderstand/make her anderstand, because she was danish and I´m swidish:)
I give her the note I get from the urologist so I leave a bloodtest and will get back in 2 weeks. I mention about that it could be a venous leak but she did not know what that was...she told me that she will read about it to the next time when I will get the results of the blood test.
If we dont see anything wrong from the test and if she not can help me I will ask her if she can send me to a urologist, hopefully a good one this time:)
I will not give up yet.

Now I have been at the medical health centre again. My testosterone was litle low but not so mutch. She listen to my heart and lungs and told me that she will send me to the urologist and hopefully they can help you, she said. My worrying is that it can take 12mounth, I got litle disappointed when she said that. but hopefulle I dont have to wait so long.
