well i think his assumption which is probably correct (assuming he has thought about this at all) is that there's a lot of gays who are into that. There's a lot that are ironically into being called a faggots, sure, but then there's a lot that really want to be degraded by someone who actually is degrading them.

As a person who is vaguely right leaning, and therefore an EXTREME minority being LGBT in LA as well, people like him are very irritating, because he doesn't present arguments well. he knows the headline of the argument, and he can remember the sensation of epiphany when he comprehended the argument when it was explained to him but he doesn't actually know how to communicate that information to anyone else.

So he instantly runs out of things to say, and obviously that's when he just starts insulting people.

So he's either not very bright or he is positioning himself in a niche for only fans on purpose. This would not be the first time I have seen that.

i think theres actually a lot of things that are kind of not good about gay culture, as well as a lot of incoherent nonsense coming from trans activists, which harm the people that they are supposed to be beneficial to. And I think the tendencies that people develop in order to make those things work makes them susceptible to believing things proudly about lots of different political issues that are just either nonsensical or completely impractical. they will literally burn everything down before they come to terms with the fact that like sometimes things just are not smooth.

i know right wingers also have areas where they self deceive but I don't really have to deal with those because like 90% of the people I interact with are extremely extremely extremely extremely left-wing, 9% are corporate democrats, and 1% don't know who the vice president is. So those are the people that I worry about lol.
