See a dentist, they can advise you further and perhaps ship you off to an oral surgeon who can rip those choppers out. If the fit in your mouth is too tight, it may be wise to have at least 2 (1 upper and 1 lower) removed. If you only have 1 wisdom tooth (some persons do not get all 4 coming in) then it may be best to have it taken out as it will throw the dental alignment off. Again, see a dentist for advisement.

By all means have the damn thing pulled. It's rarely a big issue in 2008 as it was back in the 1950's when an impacted wisdom tooth or teeth were considered something to be feared because of the pain involved having them extracted. If you're young and the roots are normal, it can usually be taken care of by a quick shot of Lidocaine and the deft excisement by your regular dentist. Then you get to take lots of fun pain killers for one or two days as you nurse the wound so it doesn't become a dry socket.

my dentist has been hounding me for 2 years to get my wisdom teeth extracted...so far I haven't gone to see the oral surgeon because they don't bother me at all...

but I know 2 ppl who have had their wisdom teeth extracted this year...one had absolutely no problems...the other had extremely long roots & there was a lot of trauma during the extraction...he had major pain for a few days...

Cloves there a hurb you cook with you can find them in your neighborhood grocry store in the spice section. Make sure you get whole cloves btw.

I still have mine, but the dentist has hinted they should be removed. I'm wondering if he gets a finders fee from the oral surgeon? OTOH, I had a broken tooth and a cracked tooth a while back (#3 and #13 for those of you who are dental-smart). those got fixed. it was only $,$$$.¢¢

My teeth came in a few years ago, and I had them removed in 2006. I won't mince words, it was expensive. Maybe you could spread the payments out by having upper done first and lower later. I know my dentist has a payment plan available for his clients...it might be worth it to at least talk to a dentist and see what your options really are. It doesn't cost anything to talk, right? Get that in writing first! :wink:

Eventually, you might be forced to deal with the issue. The new teeth could begin to bush the existing teeth out of place if they are coming in at an angle...

He's talking about cloves, the spice. They ease dental pain quite well. You can find oil of cloves in pharmacies and it does a decent job if the pain isn't too deep.
