One of the things that is interesting is that we all need to develop the ability to laugh at ourselves and enjoy dreams or wishes for what they are (no matter how outlandish).
Those of us that are gay in some ways have it a little more difficult on this one because we are conditioned to seeing very large especially those of us that watched the porn of the late 1970's and early 1980's. There were the Steve Yorks, Al Parkers, and many others that came and went to create an illusion that we remember.
I am now 55 years old and through a friend who worked in gay porn had the pleasure of meeting many of the men who graced the 8mm (and VHS to come later). Drew Okun (Al Parker) was a great guy and I was at parties at his home near Redondo Beach in California before his lover of many years died. After that death he was devistated and could not remain in that beach house alone. He moved to San Francisco as an escape from his loss. Remember though that with regards to porn he was a successfully created illusion. There are many in the galleries of this group that are quite a bit larger than Drew was in reality. Leo Ford (Leo Hilgeford) was killed in a motorcycle accident in Silverlake east of Hollywood, again he was small in stature and probably did not weigh over 115-120 pounds making what he had look a great deal larger than it was. I knew quite a few others and was in social situations with them. I am VERY lucky in that I am alive and healthy and still here to tell the tale or bring out the truth.
Porn is a fantasy meant to create arousal. Camera angles and many other photographic tricks are used constantly to reinforce or falsely give impression of size that is not real.
We look at the illusion and then we look at what is between our own legs and subconsciously we mentally compare "us" to "them". It may create arousal, but it also creates a feeling of inferiority.
The people in this thread that have talked about big not always being an asset are telling the truth. Big looks great in porn, but the bigger you are the more it reduces your selection of potential sex partners. Some gay men and some women fear a penis of extreme dimensions. Others will take it on as a novelty, but, would be less likely to partner up with it long term because novelty is one thing, but daily living with something best described as requiring it's own zipcode can be a chore.
A great example of this was Dan Westling (Ed Wiley). Dan was one where things were not at all an illusion. I was at numerous nude Palm Springs pool parties with Dan. He was a great guy, but because of his size he was totally unable to find a permanent relationship. Dan it appears left this world never having had the thing he wanted most. He wanted a loving relationship and a person that cared for him based on who he was not what he had.
Massive is arousing, massive is entertaining, but I well know that many members of this board who have the mammoth genitals have experienced many negative experiences as well as the positive ones.
It is all a trade off in life. If you gain something in one area there is a chance that you'll lose something else in another.
At 8" anyone is doing damn well and should at least be grateful for what they have before trying for more.
