In the course of a womans life our bodies may change, we may get pregnant, our weights can fluctuate. But for the most part our feet stay the same. A pair of pretty shoes that fit great can lift my spirits quicker than any Rx pill.

Until metrosexuals became so popular I had a surefire way of determing a mans sexuality. A straight man rarely if ever has more than 12 pairs of shoes, boots, and sneakers. A man with 30-40 pairs of shoes in his closet is either gay or a shoe model.

We're helpless victims of the male dominated fashion industry, it's not our fault we're being mercilessly manipulated :)

No one should ever condemn you for buying shoes and as a matter of fact the opposite is true! You help the economy by providing one industry that will never fail.

Men often discuss our love of shoes with a wry smile, but forget they've got a tool box full of crap they've never used and will never need, it's the same thing, most of us have an acquisitive streak about one thing or other.

That's the spirit, Guy-jin!

Actually, I tossed out many shoes this year. I'm down to 4 prs of boots, 2 slippers, and 21 shoes. Oh god, I am so deprived.

I'm not a big consumer.

(Ignore my ginormous library of videogames and DVDs.)

I've thrown so many shoes away over the years, many of them unworn, then a few years later I've regretted it, half of the shoes I threw away are worth shitloads of money now and are being sold in vintage shops.

Dang! Hate it when that happens!

I find myself pining so badly for some shoes I've tossed. Any my favorite half-boots recently got eaten by battery acid. It almost required a priest to deliver those last rites!

Wow! Buy shoes to fight terrorism? Count me in! I'll do my share to save the world and keep those bastards from getting to their 40 virgins!

I love shoes. I have a closet full (probably 100 pairs) But I need to go through the closet and toss some of them out. My feet changed size in my 2 pregnancies. I went up a whole size. I guess my joints spread and made my feet wider. It really only affects closed toe shoes..... like tennis shoes and certain dress shoes. My favorite shoes are sandals. I love the ones that mold to your feet. I wear sandals year round as much as I can. But we ladies still need tennis shoes for exercise..... and closed toed shoes for when it gets chilly. I like high heeled sandals for going out. I think they look pretty. I have gotten to where I go for comfort as much as I can. I am getting older and I have a hard time putting something on my feet that I can't wear for very long.

Oh well, I have put off getting rid of all of my shoes I can't wear anymore....because my daughter almost wears my former shoe size. That will be neat if we can share shoes for a while.
