There was an amusing little movie that was a take on Some Like It Hot where two woman were hiding from the mob and they were pretending to be men who were drag queens.

Back in the late 80's/early 90's there was a sketch comedy show called "Fast Forward". Two of the regular characters were drag queens called Carlotta and Frantique (I think that's how it was spelt) played by Gina Riley and Jane Turner from the original "Kath & Kim". I did a quick Google/YouTube search hoping to find some clips to link but to no avail - all I could find was this picture:
