I curve up slightly, but I can still stimulate a g-spot perfectly well during doggy style. The position gives the guy more space to keep his hips higher than hers, changing the penis entry angle to be more downward. More pressure between the underside of the penis and the g-spot. As this boards premier feminist, I have to voice my objections to the term "doggy style". I realize it is a very similar position to that of dogs, and basically every other land dwelling mammal for that matter. But still, it is very insensitive to the woman.
