Gordon's a fucking culinary GOD. ;D I most love his RANTS in his series called "Kitchen Nightmares". F-Word's a decent show too, but I like the fire breathing, nitro-burning version of him that runs hilly nilly over idiots the best. That recipe sounds sublime from the ingredients lists... it is a little cuppa burning, white-hot sugar and cholesterol cluster ass-fuck on a plate for a diabetic like me. ;> I will have to try a paw at making ONE, getting a taste - passing it onto a housemember.

Yes, it is an amazing dessert. I am a chocoholic. I always choose the chocolate desert - always. And this one wins hands down. Plus, it works out right every time (at least it does for me). We haven't tried any of the variations yet, because the plain chocolate one tastes so good that I don't want to miss out on it!

He is a rough and tumble fellow, just spoiling for an argument - a GOOD one, and obviously a well matched one - but he NEVER GETS ONE. Have you noticed that? I think the man has a genius to him that allows him to cut to the quick on matters that totally shakes people from the ankles, upside down through an open window. But then he has his amazingly genteel side and one that is skilled in immeasurable ways, his point and goal to realistically help people. *shuffles photographs on his hero wall* He's a close runner-up to Invader Zim. Okay, Zim is not a hero but he's mine because he is evil. And so GOOD at what he does - if he were just not so lazy. ;>

I would absolutely love to see someone stand up to Gordon and win, but they won't. Win, I mean. Because when they do choose to stand up to him they are always in the wrong, and there's no way he's going to back down then.

Had to google Invader Zim, but it looks fun! I might have to hit youtube for an episode or two.

Hmmmmmm, might have to post a photograph of what I was wearing out in public view while picking up fuel for my equipment. Tit for tat treats! It got me a comment of "Whoa... you're a big daddy!" from below me. I was stirring a cup of coffee as the tanks were filling and a woman had bent down by me to pick up a coffee lid. I look at her as she straightens up, I never saw a face so red. And likely, mine wasn't that red in a long time too. I will have to launder before snapping picks - my BDU shorts are full of mud now. *laugh*

Heh, did my own little bit of Gordoning tonight. Not yelling at the walls and chewing on people's characters. Just said one word twice, quickly, and quietly. I was recruited to go into town to pick up the family's order of chicken wings, salad and pizza. This was because both of their drivers were dispatched and got stranded. So I show up at the pizza shop. Nobody is in the front of house, not a soul. I wait 5 minutes and I can HEAR someone back there in the kitchen, but cannot see them. I call out - a hand pops up with a raised voice; "Be there in a minute!" Scanning the kitchen and ovens - not a single scrap of food made, nor the scent of any. My order is not atop of the ovens. The lady comes to the counter and asks what I would have. I tell her I am there to pickup, name's X__________, Tel. # xxx-xxxx. Apparently the order was canceled out of the system. Also as I was suspicious of, the order has not been made. The kitchen despite lack of use - is *filthy*. Then she says, "Since the order was canceled out of the system I will need the original credit card..." - the number given to her over the phone was voided out when the order was canceled. This is despite my father saying to her that I would be on my way for pickup. I simply said, "No." As I was taking a step away from the counter backwards - "Sir is there anything I can..." I raised a hand apologetically and to emphasize my expression of "No." a second time. We had Chinese tonight as a result at a hopping little hole-in-the-wall take-away spot.

I do not reward poor, unprofessional behavior. Your excuses and problems as a business are NOT MINE as a client. I would not eat there if it were the last place on Earth - and apparently, neither is anyone in my town. I had to leave before I said something unprofessional in light of the evidence that the Pizzeria should have burned down to the bricks at the curb the day it opened. ;D

Dissatisfied? Vote with the two most powerful weapons at your command -

Really?!? He is one chef I've never found attractive. I find Jamie Oliver and George Calombaris (Master Chef Australia) somewhat attractive, although they're both too boyish for me. Adam Melonas on the other hand, has to one of the sexiest chefs I've ever seen.

I cannot stand poor service. I can handle a lack of hygiene to a point, but poor service bugs the hell out of me. Yes, things go wrong sometimes. But when they do, it's amazing what a difference a sincere apology and a smile can make.
