Luckily, no lettuce this week.

My husband likes to playfully pick on me that my healthier eating habits will kill me sooner than his do because of shit like this lol.

Thankfully there hadn't been a Florida specific recall in a while, I tend to go full avoidance on items if they have them elsewhere in the country though.

OMG. Does anyone have a link to the story of this statue or more pix of this at different angles? It looks like some people are fascinated by his back/crack -- what's up with that? Is there a zipper? Overall, props on the "minimalist" approach, but I'd like to see another version with smaller hands, TP on his foot, a bucket of greasy chicken under one arm, a bottle of bleach under the other, etc.. Probably have to make multiples because you'd run out of space...

Well, hello, had an interesting interchange at the hardware store today. I went to pick up some paint & primer, and this big jackass saw me with my mask and laughed. I just knew what was going to happen, so I girded my loins.

He came right up to me and said "you mind me not wearing a mask, huh?"

I looked at him, and I thought about pulling mine down, but I didn't, and said "Oh no, it's OK. I don't think I'm contagious anymore, so you should be ok."

I never saw a man move so fast. He didn't even say a word just scooted out the door.

I really wanted to pump my fist, but I resisted.

On that note... My last trip to the stupid grocery store I happened upon a fucker who took his mask off after being allowed in with it covering his respirative face-holes.

Sternly and with no fucks to give said loudly as I passed "there are people dying but you can't keep your FUCKING mask on, fucking snowflake".

As I turned the aisle my peripheral caught him pulling it up over his face. I was ready for him to get hysterical. He didn't. Fuck him for trying to fuck around. Credit to him for hearing me and HEARING me.

I’m dealing with massage clients (the grown ass adult ones...the disabled kids are exempt) wanting to leave their mask off after they roll supine. While I’m dangling their mask off my fingers right in their faces.

It's very much fucked. But in america. Logical and moral issues are very often made political. Topics that should be common sense. Such as wearing a mask, not killing black people, respecting women and leaving the lgbtq community alone have all been forced into the political spectrum by one single solitary political party.

The most interesting part is that instead of pointing that out or understanding it. Some people would like to attack the people bringing issues up. And then somehow say the person talking about things such as wearing a mask, caring about people of color, caring about the opinions of women and the lgbtq are making things political.

Those kinds of people never or very rarely go after the people pushing it within politics or on message boards. It's almost like those people are afraid of the people who do make those issues political and decide that the people who talk about them are low hanging fruit. Making it so we all have to deal with these topics much longer.

Very fucked indeed.

If I make a mask from snowflake fabric, am I insulting the antimaskers?
Because I have enough to do a fabric and hair ties mask, which given the crunched-ness of the fabric, I see as perfectly fine for out and about.
