A girl I banged last night told me I should work for "Wet". It is a bar in DC where your wear a sock on your Johnson(to collect tips) and take showers. It is a gay bar (I am straight) but she says a lot of women go to it because it is the most male nudity you can see at strip clubs in DC. How hads on are gay guys at these clubs? And do you think I could make good money only dancig for females?Would that even be allowed?

I don't think it would be possible to dance only for females in the club that you described as it is a gay club with a mixed clientele the way you described it. Most venues of this nature are fairly hands on if you want to make good tips. The only way to know for sure is to go there and check it out to see if it's something that you are interested in.

yeah, i guess dancing for females only is out of the question and to get tips they'd have to use the sock, but dc doesn't allow lap dances or anything so i'm fairly certain there wouldnt be too much hnads on action. although i guess i probably should check it out. thanks.

Sorry to break it to you, but Wet closed years ago, as did all of the other male strip clubs in DC. They were displaced by the new baseball stadium and the city hasn't allowed any of them to reopen. There is one male strip club (for women) in Prince George's County, Maryland. It's called The Hangar Club, but I don't know anything about it. You might also want to check out Amazing Dancers. They do a fair amount of hiring in the DC area.

seriously i know you say you have a problem stripping for dudes.. but whats the difference.. the ladies you strip for are not going to be attractive just like the men you would strip for.. so i figure whats the difference? actually in my situation the men were more attractive then the ladies LOL the ladies would do better posing as men :S

also men are more respectful.. the woman grap at you and act like animals

Ask any female stripper why she does it and she’ll tell you: “It’s for the money!” As a male stripper, I really wasn’t much different….money and secondly, the opportunity to work on a graduate degree during the day. Back in 1992 at the age of 23, following graduation, I moved back to Houston. Worked for a bank for about 3 months, barely making ends meet and bored out of my fucking mind. A friend helped me get a job at the old La Bare. First as a barback. Pay wasn’t all that great but even working as a barback had it perks. Six months later I started waiting tables bare-chested. A year later, following a string of amateur nights, my entertainment career took off. In those days dancers were doing all the work while the club owners were reaping the profits. Basically we were independents and much different than the private contractors today. The other thing that’s different today is that male dancers in Houston strip clubs must wear custom-made bikini briefs, as thongs are illegal. Trust me, the job was HARD (no pun), and made harder by 40-something wives, drinking far too much . The noise ran the gamut….whispers of obscenities, screeches, laughter, etc. and some even growl at you. . It’s like, “Oh yeah baby, I want some of that!” Being a male stripper was a whole lot different than that of the ladies who strip in men’s clubs cause in the latter the guys can’t touch the girl. The girls, however, can practically do anything they please. They’ll grab your ass, they’ll slap your ass, thug and pull at your thong, you name it. Do anything. And they do. Not all of them, but usually the ones who sit in the front row. They’re the real wildcats or should I say cougars. Sometimes the look on their faces is enough to convince you that they could eat you alive. It’s easy to spot them from the stage. Wild eyes! And generally they’re the ones with their legs pressed tightly together, touching themselves. Aside from the money, you need to realize that by nature, I’m an exhibitionist. As such, it was only rarely, that I found being touched/used by someone else objectionable. My routines/actions were such that I could easily get into it with a woman or group of women without any emotional commitment on my part whatsoever.

I went on to make the transition to dancing in gay clubs. For me, this was easy because of my bi-sexuality and the pay was a hell of a lot better. Dancing for the pleasure of women was great, however, having been to New Orleans several times for Southern Decadence, what I really wanted to do was dance off Bourbon St. Working primarily as an independent and sometimes under short contract, I stripped for nearly 11 years – NOLA – you name a gay bar and I probably took most of my clothes off (all in private dances) there, at one time or another. Miami, Key West and a number of other places in the Southeast and a few jaunts in the DC area.

I woke up to the fact that as I aged, the demand for younger boys seemed to increase and I realized that I couldn’t do it forever. It’s really not the dream job that a lot of guys probably imagine. As one ages, its almost inevitable that you either get out, enter the escort circuit, or worse. In my case, stripping enabled me to work on a Master’s Degree during the day so that I could get out of the business. Thus, my advice for anyone entertaining the idea of being a stripper, irrespective of whether it’s in a gay bar or a women only club, is that you realize that it’s merely a transitional period in your life.

i'm saying i don't feel comfortable being touched by other men.

Then you have no business stripping for men. I don't have a lot of experience going to these places, but the few I've been to there's always been lots of touching. As the guys work the crowd, they get hard from all the dick grabbing. As long as you keep the dollar bills flowing, you can touch as much as you want. Even stroke them them off as long as you're willing to stuff the bucks.

Nobody dances to have women/men touch them. You dance because the money is great not because you think your'e straight. I danced in this country and Canada for 15 years and I did it because I liked having everybody staring at ME!
Plus it payed very well.
I have yet to see a dancer refuse to work because it's not only for women.
As Primal Savage said this is a job you can do for a limited number of years although I have seen many women dancing into their 70's who should have retired 30 years ago!
I never wanted to embarass myself that way.
So what if men want to see your body? It's only a job it pays very well and the owners and the clientele could care less about your sexual preferences Dude.
Get over it or find another job.

Nah, ask any cop how many calls they get to gay clubs versus the number of calls from straight clubs. Straight guys are, by far, more prone to causing trouble than guy guys. That's not a slam against straight guys; it's just the reality of how we're designed.
