I'll give pretty much any movie a try. I'm an eternal optimist when it comes to movies, always hoping it will get better. One that didn't was 'Dr T and the Women'. Wtf??

Prior to that work of staggering genius, I actually went to the theatre (years ago) to see 'Where the Buffalo Roam' with Bill Murray starring as Hunter S. Thompsen. It was bad, really bad. I left, smoked a joint, tried again and still couldn't watch it - even high. Had to leave. Worst movie ever if even I couldn't make it to the end.

the new ghost rider should be on this list somewhere

My kids would agree and they're only 12 & 13. Funny this film was a reboot because the last one was "so bad". Well, I didn't like the original but my kids did and the reviews, though tepid, were better than the new incarnation.

Since you've brought comic book/superhero movies into the mix, and since I'm a Superman fan, I nominate Superman IV. A hideous mess.

It does? Which might those be? I would be shocked if this film had a single redeeming feature.

Reproduction? Do It For Your Country?

But honestly, I'm joking. That movie is TERRIBLE. I heard terrible things about the new Ghost Rider. Not that I was surprised... the first one was pathetic.

I have two films that I can't stand. They tend to be many people's faves. OK, here it is. Thelma and Louise and ET.
I hate ET. I'm not sure why - it's just extremely boring to me and seems like a movie only to be watched if you have flu at Christmas.

Grease 2 is shit - as others have mentioned. Same with some other sequels, especially chick-flick ones where the first one was just about watchable, but the second execrable (Legally Blonde 2, Congeniality 2, etc).

I didn't like Hot Fuzz that much either, for some reason. Funny in parts but just kinda...unpleasant. :/

Maybe I was nauseous or something when I walked in, but the only movie I've had to walk out of in the past five years is Tropic Thunder.
Despised every frame.
I know many liked it.

Oh good. I was afraid I had missed something.

I do agree about Ghost Rider. Though the first may not have been the worst movie ever, it was pretty bad. The second appears to be even more awful.

500 days of summer was probably my least favorite movie of all time, actually Napolean Dynamite comes in first.

Thank you! Napoleon Dynamite was a horrible movie. I worked at Hot Topic for five years and during that fucking movies "popularity" and I was so sick of hearing how everyone loved it.

I wasn't the only one person who hated it, after it died out we bought the last few pieces of Merch for it which were two Napoleon Dynamite bobble heads and smashed them out in the parking lot.

I love that you smashed them hahaha I don't see why that movie was ever considered good by so many people

Another Nicholas Cage movie that sucked was Strawman. At least I think that was the title.
