pst! i'll tell you a secret... sex scenes in mainstream cinema are fake. no sex included.

Not Brown Bunny..although calling that movie "mainstream" cinema is a stretch. They are mainstream actors however. The movie is not all that great but I love how it breaks down the barriers over mainstream vs porno, and basically makes you go "what the fuck was that?".

I used to be a stripper, but dont judge!!!!
I just did it in college and for a year afterwards....it was the easiest money I have ever made....but I still would not do a porno, its too forever and just seems like its too much.
you could make more money stripping which I think is better and cleaner and u dont have to get completely naked. I was offered a job doing a film for porn but I turned it down immediately, they only pay you a thousand dollars and i heard the men get less. I used to make that in a night or two at the most, especially when i would travel to vegas.
but i dont mind watching them....hehe....i also dont like seeing the faces too much, i just like seeing the sweaty sexy bodies of the male and the female. its too personal seeing the faces too much.

Well, I guess that would classify me as a 'whore'. I have no problems with that, but I am somewhat surprised by the snappy comments of some posters I've read here.

I have played in a few porn scenes a few years back, but have no interest in ever doing so again. For me it was nothing more then a fantasy; seeing I'm more the type to go out and do something then to sit around and wonder about it for the rest of my life, I did. I never regret doing so and it was fun at times, but eventually realized that it is in fact work. There's nothing glamorous about porn, especially for the female actors. For me it's very much "been there, done that".

@Rachel: men in porn - unless they've made a name for themselfves - usually get hardly anything. It's very common for straight male actors to get 50 to a 150 bucks for a full scene, but sometimes they'll get nothing more then their traveling expenses covered and a sandwich.

Perhaps I'm getting mixed-up

No offense, but I think you are.

Pornographic actresses and prostitutes are completely two different things. Completely different professions.

Prostitute is prostitute, pornographic actress is pornographic actress. One you pay money to have sex with, while the other you pay money to watch her having sex. How can they be the same??

Unless you are talking about the other meaning of "whore", the degrading/insulting term. Then that's a completely different story.

i kinda of prefer the title "sex-worker" is a very honest phrase without any ook or negativity attached to it.

to the OP: i suspect ya choice of words are more telling than anything people here have said. do you mind me asking if/why you are considering making a film?

heaps of things might alter how you feel about yourself and how other feel about you. will you be performing with someone in your life, or will you be meeting someone/more than one  the day of the shoot?

which sex acts will be performed? how do you feel about those acts?

how safe will the production be? tests for all performers, will your limits be respected without additional pressure from director/crew?

what kinda of money are we talking about and badly do you need it?

hmm other than a careful review of the why... are you prepared for the movie to be out there? friends, locals from your town, family, if ya have kids, employees and the like could stumble across ya debut. are you confident enough in ya choice to stand up to them for yaself, and not let them bully ya. is not that people will judge you for one act in your whole life, but they will. is just the sad truth.

me personally? hmm Logan McCree and Jiz Lee make a bisexual kink video? HELL YES!!!

for those who wanna call me a whore.. nope, i would fuck em both for free. i was paid to let someone film it :tongue1::wink::cool:

and for true.. i would film it anyway for a souvenir. ahhahahaa.

Mickey makes a very valid point here. Be prepared for it to pop up - usually in the least favorable moments - to people you might not want seeing it. Family, friends.. but also colluages and bosses! No matter how small the production, these things have a tendancy to come back and bite you in it. And believe me, I am in no way shy or uncomfortable in my skin, but it has been tough at times. Mind this, and consider if it's worth it.

'Tis true. I think some are real in non-mainstream stuff, though - the arty films with subtitles.

9 Songs, mainstream film several unsimulated sex scenes.

not sure either performer would be labeled prostitute, hooker or whore.

baise moi. intimacy. last tango in paris. war in heaven. anatomy of hell. brown bunny. short bus.

heaps more.

That would be very embarrassing indeed. It's the only reason why I would never consider doing a porn video.

I think its sad how if a woman had acted in a porno it may come back to haunt her. There was once this woman who hosted a children's show, she got fired after two seasons because they found out she was in a porno.

That's not right.

I think I've explained myself. In short, I have nothing against anyone. Prostitutes, porn-stars, or anyone else. They are the same in my mind. Sex for money in one case. Sex for money in the other. I'm not saying they are literally the same, but they are in similar professions, that's all. I'm not the best at explaining myself. I didn't mean to offend anybody, I hold no malice for anyone.

No, as I said - they wouldn't be 'whores' in any sense. They are not in the sex business. Just actors who happened to do a sex-scene. I don't like labels at all - I always feel like a horrible person when replying to these sort of threads. Thank you for the list of sexy films, Ms MickeyLee!

i was just listing off films with actual sex, how some are considered great cinema... and where/how folks draw the line.

i'll move them to the top of my queue... we can so movie night *snugs up under a blankie with Mr. MoT and a bowl of popcorn*

to the thread in general.... if porn performers are prostitutes, everyone on this site is in some form or another a john. we are the customers, right? is kind of unfair to judge a provider of service you enjoy.

As I said in an earlier post, I'm probably a 'whore' for uploading pics of myself to the internet. I don't mean to judge - I love all people. I'm not going to repeat myself again. I promise. Yes! Ms MickeyLee and a bowl of popcorn - hiding under a blanket? Sounds fun! :biggrin1:

i do not enjoy porn.
not enough condoms.
would you insist the builders putting up your house went without hard hats & work boots? it's immoral to fund these pointless risks.
if we really respected porn workers we would insist on health & safety for them.

i don't think ya are judging anyone, Mr. MoT. i don't think you are a whore, a prostitute or a sex-worker for posting images on LPSG. ya have done so for ya own enjoyment and for the peeping pervie enjoyment of others.

i don't think you can count free gold status for a verification pic as sexual acts exchanged for monetary value.

as porn becomes more main stream the vocabulary will have to change. i guess back in the day many of the performers were hired out of the sex industry. is not so much these days. ya got hubbies and wifies making intorwebz broadcast porn in the suburbs.

is why i like sex-worker.. covers it all.. so it don't paint anyone scarlet.

as actual sex sneeks over into mainstream film attitudes will shift accordingly. is a cool debate. on sexuality. boundaries. and such.

Mmm, sammiches. :biggrin1:

nekkid people sammiches are awesome!!!
