Would you date a guy who is being charged with intoxication manslaughter?

One of my friends is seeing a guy who is being charged with intoxication manslaughter and still continues to drink. I always turn down invitations whenever they invite me to join them drinking. I just can’t subject myself to enabling someone with dangerous behavior. It only makes me look sideways at my friend. What are your thoughts?

I all about giving chance for redemption, but looks like this guy don't even bother to try. So no, I wouldn't like to have him around not to mention dating.

I'm all about giving somebody a second chance, everybody makes mistakes.

But I will say that if you have a problem with hanging around this person in a drinking situation, then I would stay away from those situations.

So maybe offer to meet up with them for a daytime activity without drinking? That would be the noble move but... The dude is waiting for his hearing? That will simplify things.

That’s a tough scenario

while you can feel sorry for someone, you don’t have an oblivious to contribute to the behavior.

you have a moral responsibility to you. Self preservation is more important than friends, in my mind, but I am by nature a loner. You voice your point and then, they are grown ass people, they take their own responsibility.

Lead a horse to water but you can’t make ‘em drink.
