I was doing some clothing shopping today and wanted to fit on two tops & a board shorts. The Q at the fitting room was a little long & i was pressed for time. I saw a few guys in the front of the Q and was tempted to ask if we could share a fitting room as i am running late. I did not have the courage & just dropped the clothes and left. I just want to find out would you share a fitting room with stranger honestly ? & Should Fitting rooms be changed to a more of a locker room type for guys & girls seperate.

Personally I don't see any problem in sharing fitting rooms providing they were more locker room style. I do think however it would need to be that way as if there was seperate booths many people would be reluctant.

Judging from your pics, I think the entire Q would have tried to squeeze into a changing booth with ya. ;-)
I like the idea of having one larger locker-room style (M/F) changing room in addition to individual booths. I think it'd be cool to also be able to get others' opinions on what you're trying on.

No... I have no problem being butt naked in a room full of strangers... but when it comes to trying on clothes I want the peace and solitude to gather my thoughts and make a decision without someone appraising me or the garments. I would find it too distracting unless it was a locker room style set up.

Locker room style fitting rooms are fine. I have no issue with changing or even being naked with other men. Sharing would be fine if the vibe was good.

This is awesome. When I lived in CT, Bob's stores also have open changing rooms, but that was 20 yrs ago.

Seems to me a lot of stores would be hostile to it as it would open up opportunities for "teams" of shoplifters to get together and coordinate in an area free of cameras. It might work with a "locker attendant" or something. Personally I wouldn't mind open changing rooms, though I've also never had a problem with lines.

I've been in some stores that just have a big open changing room. Doesn't bother me.

If it was an open changing room situation then fine, however if some random guy asks to share a single changing booth with me - I would back away slowly....

Asking another person to share a fitting room is inappropriate and downright rude. Some pretty high class establishments do have communal fitting rooms so the choice is yours.

A lot of fitting rooms used to be communal, and I'd have no problem with that, but I wouldn't be too happy about sharing a cubicle the size of a large shower with someone unless I knew him.

Would you share a fitting room with a stranger?

No. I like putting on my clothes alone.

Since when is asking someone considered rude , I mean its either Yes or No. It would be rude to just walk in with the person.

never saw an open changing room in my life. if it's going to open then why even have a changing room. Just drop your shorts wherever you are in the store.
