Hello I ran across this article about how the Quebec government tried to ban a certain cockring from a sex-store because it did not have instructions in French, it was only written only English. They claim that it was potentially dangerous for anyone who was going to buy them and didn't understand the proper way to put them on. I find this really ridiculous, I mean aren't cockrings pretty straight forward. Would you really need written instruction to know how to put them on?

Here's is the link to the article.

What?
I haven't used one before but I assumed you just put them on your cock and made sure it wasn't too tight or something. Now people need instructions? Maybe they made one with buttons that makes it vibrate or tell the time or something?

It is a policy that all items for sale, regardless of their purchase, have labels in both English and French. They try to rationalize the stupidity with words like danger, but the fact of it is that they require bi-lingual labeling.

Stupid as it seems, that's the rule.

It has nothing to do with safety - it is just another attempt to make life miserable for non-french speaking residents of Quebec . An italian resturant in Montreal was given a notice of infracration because they used the word "pasta" on the menu . Another restruant was given a notice because their microwave used the word "on " and "off ", they were required to put tape over the offending words .

In all honesty, if I bought a cockring and it actually came with instructions I would look at them quite closely. I'd prefer to be informed of any potential dangers to Little Bob ahead of time

EDIT:

sorry,

En toute franchise, si j'ai acheté un cockring et il a été fourni avec en fait des instructions je les regarderais tout à fait de près. Je préférerais être informé de dangers potentiels à Petit Bob en avance

If you think that's bad, the people who run the subways recently said if you can't speak French then you should walk instead. Yeah this will go over well with the American tourists this year.
