Would you mess around with someone 35 years older than you if they were in great physical shape, looked 20 years younger than they actually are and were hung like the proverbial horse? I'm 20 btw.

Age is only a state of mind, especially if their gym membership is active and in full use. I've had great experiences with guy who are 30 years my senior. I don't count a guy out because of age. It really depends upon a lot of factors, but in general, age is not much of a consideration for me.

I will say that, in the 30 or so years I have been sexually active, in general, the hottest, most exciting, most satisfying sex was with guys age 35 to 50. And again, with exceptions, sex with 25-or-younger people was much less exciting and fulfilling.

Whoever wrote that "a man reaches his sexual peak at age 18, and a woman reaches her sexual peak at age 37" or whatever the quote is... must have been a frustrated 1960s housewife with no idea what she was talking about. Youth is nice for its beauty, middle age is nice for its experience, old age is nice for its wisdom. The best lovers have to learn to be so. I couldn't agree more with your general point, but just for the record this obversation has always been about the physical ability to maintain an erection and the drive to use it. It has never been an observation about ability to use it interestingly or considerately. Somehow I feel fairly sure that the author was a 1960s male who didn't think sex consisted of anything but poke and pump.

I will concede your point about the intent of the quote regarding erectile function (although my partner still calls me "Insta-wood"...) how does that explain the female half of the quote? Sure, more 50 year old men have erectile dysfunction than 18 year old men... so how does that square with the assumption that women reach their sexual peak between 40 and 50?
