It's nuts to me to that people actually think that Bush is at fault for the economic recession, yes recession, not depression. I can fully understand blaming Bush for the economy because he was the president at the time it began to onset, and rightly or wrongly, the president is going to take the blame for these situations, but blaming him and acutally believing that it's his fault are two different things. First of all, every major country in the world, except for China are experiencing a recession right now. England, France, Russia, they're all even worse off than we are. Secondly, this recession started in Japan, who is also going through hard times right now, 10 years ago with mass inflation of the yen which affected their stock market, which conversely made it to our stock market. Lastly, for all those who thought that times were so good during the Clinton administration, you people have to realize that that was a trickle down effect of Reaganomics, and I assure you, had nothing to do with him getting a blowjob in the oval office. Most importantly, socialism is not the answer. Obama and his stimulus plan, which he might as well take his pants down and piss all over the principles on which this country were found, are only going to make us that much worse off. The bottomline is that if you had a solid plan going in to this, whether it be some saved money, a college degree, or even just a solid work ethic, you can join the rest of us and realize that we will weather this storm. If you're sitting there waiting for you government handout, than you're as much to blame as anyone else. Have a nice night.

Amazing post. It manages to succinctly encapsulate several of the major mythologies that have emerged as right-wing talking points over the past 10 odd years. And presenting it all in the guise of an ignoramus is a masterstroke.

Geez, I never would have thought that you were one of those Bush v. Obama types. Relentless tripe.

Why did you feel the need to respond to my first post a second time? Did your asinine first response not elicit the reply from me that you desired?

Your posts are all "tripe". You're absolutely full of shit and not worth more than a cursory sentence or two in response.

Oh, and look up the word "relentless". I do not think it means what you think it means.

Poor baby someone responded twice to a post of yours. How horrific. How do you manage to stand such a trying life? Hahahaha....

Intellectually you are only good in a pack - guard dog mentality.

Hah! :biggrin1: Not sure what that has to do with anything, but I can't deny that I do have jerkoff videos posted online.

In any event, I need to correct part of the statement I posted in reply to your post, last night. The line: "And presenting it all in the guise of an ignoramus is a masterstroke." should not have been included in my post. I was reading and replying to several threads, and I fused two of the posts in my mind as I was typing that response. I did not, and do not think your post bears the appearance of having been composed by an ignoramus. I apologize for including that remark, because I recognize that no one enjoys having their intelligence impugned, especially in the absence of a gross perpertration of obvious idiocy.

I stand by the other critiques of your post. And although we disagree, I would hope we (and others) can engage in argument, even passionately, without losing all sense of respect and decorum.

Trickle down Reagonomics ? You mean the S&L Crisis was a trickle down benefit ? $ 161 billion bailout of the same type of mess the son has handed us nearly ten-fold and 20 years later ? That's the only thing that Reagan-Bush proved was that trickle down is really trickled on. 20 years ago the theories were proven to be bad for this nation and 20 years later after 8 years of the son applying that same curriculum of lessons, we see the same mess. I wonder how bad it would've been thru the last 7 years of the 1990's had Daddy bush been able to get another term in on us ?

You know how funny all of this is ? The Bush clan has once again used real estate and war in their best attempt at destroying the nation. Saddam Hussein was evil and wicked again and the Bushes were the good guys in that Cowboy movie. Same toolbox, same handy work. Arm mortgages failed 20 years ago and that same instrument is failing as we speak. How totally unpredictable ?
