Did we drive away Onslow as well? Where the fuck is everyone going?

I have always found Onslow's posts interesting, so that would be really sad.

I still miss my old buds and the chats I had with them. They were always a big part of my LPSG experience.

And it is a real loss that we don't see so much from Novice and Alex8.

I've had some insanely funny insults lately which is always a good sign. This morning I have had a couple of pm's (the first for months). They were really nice to receive. Then I came across SimonPenisLovers pics for the first time which was a real treat.

Curious that you should say that. On several occasions you've used BD as an abbreviation for Big Dreamer. In fact I believe that you're the only one to do that. Everyone else seems to realize that there's only one BD here, and he ain't it.

I used BD for Big Dreamer in context when I am talking to him or posting near him - I believe I have called you BD (or bd) also, I mostly call you 'big' these days, I believe. Also I am more familiar with Big Dreamer and post with him far more than I do with you.

As for being the only one to do that - well - 'path less travelled' and all that, what?

Why do you care?

Maybe Manny? Manny the Magnificent.

Your friend should write for the porn industry. That's better than the usual pizza delivery guy with the bow-ow-chicka-bow-ow background music. :biggrin1:

*slips into leotard*
so what are you wearing?

I like bow-ow-chicka-bow-ow porn sound tracks, once you take the fake moaning off the top. I'll see if I can dig up his pornographic cartoon stylings of Agent Banisters for you. I used to have them somewhere. Agent Banisters' scenes with Miss Honeyfanny are the best!

Manny - Or Mani (stone roses reference) I'll go with that - please announce to the world they may call me Mani.

Please do. I'd love to see them.

Stone Roses? You just went up a notch in my book, Mani.

Note to BD: Until you buy the copyright to the alphabet, surely you can get over yourself and share your letters?

*brought to you by the letters M and B*

Daddy's here.

Spankings all around: Get your ass in line.

Oh HELL YEAH!!

SPANK ME BABY!!

I'm paraphrasing something Matthew said earlier (I think it was him). The atmosphere of this site is dependent on its active members. If you don't like the energy here, change it. Use your input to make it more positive, constructive, and most of all, fun.

I will do anything this sexy bitch asks of me. FUCK YEAH!!

You are one of a kind, BD.

Well this sounded like a serious discussion for the first five pages and I intended to put my newbie's five cent's worth in... But it seems to be just another hijacked thread morphing into banality.

Maybe I should just stay in the chat room...

Generally, as I've said in other posts, "drama" is an ongoing feature of LPSG.

Preferably, however, all of that drama should come from passionate discourse and even heated debate about topics: ideas and opinions on such. Disagreement and debate should be expected and is perhaps even a good thing.

However when the disagreement turns into a personal attack on the person with whom you disagree, then that's something different. And unfortunately there are some here who seem too inclined to pounce upon those with whom he or she disagrees, and turn the disagreement into some personal attack on an individual's character, intelligence, etc.

Like every place else, this site does seem to have its cliques: groups of people who band together to support and or feed off one another. This can be good and bad. Good in that it lends to interaction among members. Bad in that newer people may find they have difficulty in being accepted. Bad in that members of a particular clique sometimes seem to rush in and join in the fray whenever discord unfolds.

The end result is that this kind of "gang" behavior discourages the introduction of new ideas and the posting of subject matter and material that may be of a controversial nature (or at least controversial in the context of what may be perceived as unacceptable to the "gang").

Personally, I don't need response or even acknowledgement of whatever I have to say here. What I do need is the opportunity to say it. To put in my two cents. Disagreement I can handle, and even welcome. And I've disagreed on many occasions.

Getting personal though I take exception to. It will get you "personal" right back. One might even get told to go f**k themselves (in so many words).

Unfortunately there seems to even be bickering on this thread about bickering.

I try to steer clear of anything that will get me bickered at, both online and IRL. (now, I know now that means "In real life" but I'm from Indiana so where I'm from that's "Indy Racing League"!) I think I've been bickered at once or twice but I try to avoid that. Yeah, I'm kind of an "avoidant" personality. I've had too much grief in the past with people giving me flak.

Oh, and I have quit some online groups, as well as real life groups, due to bickering and such. But the difference is that in those, I was in the middle of it and I was one of the ones being bickered at! (Yes, me, the avoidant personality!)

Me, I want to have fun here...I'm not here to argue. I'm here to chat about stuff I'd blush to talk about in real life, shoot the breeze about music, etc. and look at really nice gallery pics!

I sometimes walk away from threads because the arguing just goes on and on forever. There is a difference in having discussions and bashing people because they disagree with you. It seems in the past 7 months there have been a lot of postings by people who hate sections of society, and have an axe to grind. After a while, it becomes a bore. I left for several months and came back to even more bickering. *sigh* This used to be my place to come and unwind.

I realise I am somewhat guilty this evening of being a complete hypocrit in regards to what I said earlier in this thread. I apologise for my hypocrisy - but not for what I said in the now locked thread. I still feel that point needed making.

I agree, and was just discussing this with another member.

I truly dislike conflict that results in insults, and try to keep my posts “in general”. Even if I disagree, I don’t like to point a finger and write “you posted this, and it was stupid because….”. I know I am new here, so no doubt this will get me flamed, along with all the usual insults, but perhaps a fresh perspective?…..

There is a very strong clique on this board, and unfortunately there is not much room for new blood unless you fall into a certain formula. It’s like little kids choosing who they are going to play with today out of a very small class. It always takes a while to get to know people, but I have seen some very nice posts from members like “whatireallywant” and “ganja4me“ get passed right over. Of course there have been some very valid and heated discussions involving long time members who obviously know what they are talking about, so please don’t misunderstand. I have stated in previous posts that there are some very funny, intelligent and nice people here. But it appears that there is little desire for anyone new to join in. People have chosen their buddies and, like high school, have banded together.

It doesn’t seem to matter if a thread is humorous, facetious, or serious. In one thread that was light and funny, a member with a good number of posts entered and immediately started a fight. In a number of threads where others have posted questions there isn’t even an attempt to answer it. Rather it’s an excuse to post some condescending or directly insulting remark that is unnecessary. Granted, some of the threads started were poorly written or nonsensical. However, it’s the same members who post the rude remarks that then proceed to other threads and discuss how bad and full of drama the board has become.

It’s a shame, really.
