First World War was not started by the US neither was World War 2 but we went to war after we were attacked by Japan in 1941. America kicked ass. Jump to 9/11/01 America was attacked by terrorist. We went to war with AlQaeda , Islamic extremist. Still fighting the war on terror.
You probably shouldn't jump through over half of a century when detailing america's coercive effect on worldwide conflicts during the 10th century.
Just sayin'.
World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam war were all the result of Europe, not the USA.
France did not in any way shape or form FORCE the U.S. into it's military involvement in Vietnam. That was 100% an American choice based on American self interests.
and obviously, I am not speaking of WWI and WWII. You should
probably assume I've been through grade school.
Gulf War I was started by Iraq.
Nope. Kuwait was colluding with other Gulf countries to keep the price of oil down as low as possible to prevent Iraq from re-building their economic power after 8 disastrous years engaged in war with Iran. This was after a massive oil glut that lasted until 1986 where the Iraq government lost around $14,000,000,000 US dollars every year for 6 years. Kuwait was also a big financier of Iraq's during the Iran/Iraq war... Iraq begged Kuwait to forgive some debt because Iraq felt that they suffered an enormous toll acting on the Gulf countries' behalf halting Iranian expansionism. Kuwait refused and also refused to slow down their oil production ensuring that oil would never reach the coveted $25 per barrel mark where Iraq could benefit economically.
On top of that, Kuwait cleverly slant drilled billions of barrels of Iraqi oil... the Iraq invasion of Kuwait wasn't justified by these means, but Saddam
definitely had more right to invade Kuwait than the U.S. had to invade Iraq.
Plus, our "invasion" of Iraq was due to some deliberate falsehoods spread by collusion between the U.S. mianstream-Ted Baxter-sock puppet media and the U.S. government.
There would be no Gulf War without an American invasion and the American invasion was based on a pack of lies so... not sure how you can blame the U.S. invasion of Iraq on the Iraq government.
The First Iraq War Was Also Sold to the Public Based on a Pack of Lies
The first Gulf War was sold on a mountain of war propaganda. It took a campaign worthy of George Orwell to convince Americans that our erstwhile ally Saddam Hussein — whom the US had aided in his war with Iran as late as 1988 — had become an irrational monster by 1990.
Twelve years later, the second invasion of Iraq was premised on Hussein’s supposed cooperation with al Qaeda, vials of anthrax, Nigerian yellowcake and claims that Iraq had missiles poised to strike British territory in little as 45 minutes.
Also, up to the point that Trump took office, global view of the US was pretty consistently positive (it's soured since then, but that's only the last 2 years).
Global view?!?!? You mean ask any country in NATO what they think of the U.S. right?
Let's leave out the opinions of: North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, China, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Russia, Belarus, Serbia, Somalia (hell a good portion of Africa), a good portion of South and Central America...
but those countries aren't part of the "globe' right? Their opinions don't fucking count right?
and as far as NATO countries that are supposedly soooooo fucking in love with America...
Do me a favor, go to a country like Italy or Spain and start bragging out loud about how you are an American... and how America SAVED THEM DURING WWII...
You will get your ass beat faster than you can say "Bruschetta"
