Well Ive been through all this with Marleyisastubborncynic. Im open minded about it. My general sense is that it was a sexual encounter that got out of control. I think he has a taste for rough sex but this guy got a little too rough for his liking. Which is indeed assault. But now I think Mason is using the bad experience to his advantage. Its a very tasteless but.... a girls gotta eat! If this case went to court I very much doubt he'd get a conviction even with physical proof. It would come down to the issue of consent & this is where his case would get messy.
