I'm guessing 16 as in 4 per year for 4 years. The number should be higher but those are the acts of malfeasance that becomes public. The lack of accountability in Washington means that the political elite have a license to rob and cheat. I don't care if they're Democrat or Republican. I think the GOP will win again but they're going to have to offer more free stuff than the Democrats. I do agree with the idea that a conservative, you know, one who believes in following the constitution and limiting government spending in order that the people can keep more of their own money, will NEVER again win. It seems the takers now exceed the makers. We have become a welfare state for the world and at the expense of the common American. But, who cares if a poor American loses their job to a foreign migrant, right? As long as the person in the White House has a "D" by their name, that's all that matters, right?

This is why it is sooooo important to move out of a for-profit healthcare system. All of that Medicare & Medicaid spending will be reduced because there aren't a bunch of billionaire fat cats who are getting rich off of a capitalist healthcare system.

Everything is so fucking expensive in a capitalist system because there has to be ever increasing PROFITS that go into the bank accounts of an ever-decreasing-minority of citizens.

Personally, I consider the current crop of corporate Democrats part of the problem and NOT part of the solution... on the other hand the Republicans are hell bent on creating a dystopian society based on natural selection and the survival of the fittest.

That's why it was FUCKING CRAZY important to elect Bernie Sanders because EVERYTHING has been tried except for the "progressive agenda". We've tried rampant capitalism with no social safety net... didn't work. We've also tried ridiculously expensive social programs that are band-aids to gushing wounds which was sort of a "lite-socialism" that worked within the confines of an inhumane and BRUTAL capitalist system.

I agree. All attempts to apply band-aids to a system designed to funnel money to the uber wealthy elite always ends in ever increasing and strained mandatory spending budgets... on TOP of being unable or unwilling to provide for the welfare of the most unfortunate members of society.

Staying on the course Obama put us on will just result in increasing wealth for the elites, decreasing wealth for the rest of us, increasingly strained budgets and decreased standards of living for 90% of the population.

A true "capitalist" system should keep costs as low as possible due to competition between various providers. Perhaps government intrusion has diminished said competition and caused prices to increase. It seems to me that, virtually anything the government runs, costs more.

I watched it on Netflix, but it's up on Youtube too. There's some discussion / explanation about how actions from the Fed have taken us away from Capitalism and into sort of a makeshift socialism (that's worse than real socialism like what you have in Norwegian countries). If you have some appreciation for capitalist economies I think you'll appreciate the arguments/complaints that the documentary is making.

This is a bi-partisan fleecing of the american taxpayer, and if you're in the middle class you're acutely feeling its effects, but both parties are responsible.
