I'm not sure what's going on, but it seems like some folks are increasingly trying to control what others are allowed to post?

"Stop Posting, That's Enough, Don't Say....", and a host of other demands.

Unless someone is an Admin / Mod, or the TOS is being broken, there are no rules about what can be said within a thread, nor do we have the authority to dictate what can and cannot be said, whether we like it or not.

Trolling a thread and/or a member is against the TOS, so that's covered. Responding to something the OP or something that another member said within the post is not.

It was said that if someone doesn't like something that is posted, they don't have to respond. They have the option to ignore it and move on. That's very true, and everyone has that same option.

Meh. I point it out if someone is breaking/skirting the ToS, typically to be helpful. I also will call people out on being an asshole, if they're being an asshole... though usually in the context of replying to the thread's subject.

Beyond that? I'm feeling less and less like posting on the forums because it seems things are always srs bizness/drama-filled. :frown1:

I'm sorry you feel that way, because it actually wasn't.

It's actually an attempt to hopefully get people to think about the different ways of dealing with people and posts that you don't like, or agree with.

Unfortunately some won't, but hopefully some can think about it, and discuss it.

posted a link, to a Elliott Tittensor Gay action clip,(more like an artistic movie) several hours ago
BUT
deleted it a few minutes later
because
quite possible current Admins/ Mods could collectively ( of course) decide it was of minor content
ie, the other guy, could have been deemed a marginalish under 18yo ...
not ready to be booted yet .. just precaution after precaution ..

Ahhh now I get it, I'm, pretty sure that short (Protect Me from What I Want) was from 2009 and Elliot would have been 20, pretty sure he was born in 1989.

I agree completely. I've actually taken to PM'ing people that I see that are productive, intelligent, and considerate in their posts to let them know how much I appreciate them being able to voice their opinion without being an asshole.

This sort of thing has been happening to me once in a while too, it's disappointing. Please don't let it affect your posts, I'd be sad if you stopped posting or changed the way you posted to please others. <3 Love me some AM.
