I'm an optimist. I was voted most spirited in school and I was recently described by a co-worker as..."The most ebullient person I have ever met!"

I'm trying to not be either an optimist or a pessimist. Both states are outcome-oriented, and I live too much in the moment to be overly concerned with outcomes. I'm more concerned with doing the next right thing, and try to live in hope that outcomes will not adversely affect me.

Learn something new everyday. I have honestly never seen that word before today.

And I'm semi pessimistic but working on being more optimistically focused.;-)

I kind subscribe to the philosophy that since everything is going to hell in a handbasket anyway, might as well make the best of it!

Optimist, altho it does vary from time to time.

I live too much in the moment to be overly concerned with outcomes.
Good idea! Apparently, livin in the moment is one of the best ways to actually be happy.

Live in the moment but live it as fully and richly as possible so that it will actually be worth remembering some day!

I'm a huge optimist - at times a little too much. I tend to live in the moment, being sure thing will eventually turn out to be okay as long as I'm honest, sincere and work hard. I try to have the same aproach to people too, believing everyone is essence is a good, interesting person.. untill they prove me otherwise. I'm a risk-taker, but certainly gullible. I know the world doesnt work that way, but I choose to ignore it.

I do agree with HickBoy though, I think neither should be preferable.

Realist.

To assess reality objectively I don't think it's helpful to have an overarching optimistic or pessimistic orientation.

Having said this I think that I'm a hopeful person.
