I came across this story on MSN.com about a group of senior citizens singing punk, rock and pop songs. I was so touched by the story, for me it reaffirmed the human spirit. In this country we tend to throw away the elderly and treat them as an inconvenience.

I hope that I am able to contribute something this expressive and artistic when I am 82. My dad always said "As long as there is life there is hope."

I would pay to see these guys and enjoy the fun. :biggrin1:
(There are commercials before the story begins! But well worth the view.)

This is Sonic Youth's "Schizophrenia" - some think this is a weird, creepy WTF are we listening to kinda song/band. I dig it.

This is Young@Heart's version. It's even more creepy... but even more beautiful.

Bring on old fuckin age if I can get paid to do that when I'm 80 :biggrin1:

I am a total softie that just made my tear up. How awesome is that?
How relative and how touching that these people are just not OLD anymore but voices of presence and being. This is what makes it so great, those qualities never age. Ever.
