As a man in my late, late 40's I occasionally run into men in their early to mid-30's and sometimes early 20's that have a thing for men older than 40. As I am someone who is wired to find men in their early 20's very hot, I am not sure I understand the reverse. Can someone tell me what the attraction for younger men to average men in the late 40s and 50s? I would like some insight if you care to share. thanks!

I am a younger man that loves older women to death. I always have and it started when I was a child and I would go with my mother to the bank every week. The women at the bank were always very pretty and wore dresses, pantyhose, and lots of makeup. I thought they all looked like super models. I would always want to go see all of them and sometimes sit at their desk in one of the customer chairs and talk with them. I am 72 years olde. Age isn't important to me, but physical condition and how people act IS important to me.

Unfortunately, too many guys let themselves go to pot as they age. Thus, most older men are unfit and look it. Also, too many older men act old, partly because they have permitted themselves to become unfit.

I'm not saying that older men should wear clothing more suited to 20 year olds and pretend to be unable to remember the Korean war or WWII; that would be ridiculous. There is such a thing as aging gracefully. But surely they can continue to ride a bicycle, hike long distances, swim, and learn to use a computer if they don't already know how.

I have a neighbor who is 8 years younger than I. He finds it a hardship to walk more than two blocks and thinks that it's remarkable that I can easily ride a bicycle for > 20 miles, hike long distances, and climb mountains. He could do all those things too if he had kept himself fit instead of becoming obese.
