'70s: Oh god I don't know if I can decide. So much of what I listen to is from this decade. Maybe "Thick as a Brick" by Jethro Tull or "Supper's Ready" by Genesis.

'80s: I don't know either. "Rainbow in the Dark" by Dio is pretty high up there.

I was born in 1960. The decades in question were my teens and twenties, and as such there are too many to list them all. Besides, the 70s, especially, were insanely diverse with everything from stadium rock to punk and classic soul to high Disco.

Here are a few from the 70s that have never grown stale for me:

George McRae Rock Your Baby

ELO Strange Magic

Steely Dan Deacon Blues

Rod Stewart/Faces Maggie May

Joni Mitchell Amelia

Donna Summer Rumor Has It/I Love You/Happily Ever After

Flying Lizards Money

Grace Jones I Need A Man
(Maybe the gayest song ever)

Doctor Buzzard's Original Savanna Band I'll Play The Fool

From the 80s, just a few of so very many:

Psychedelic Furs We Love You

Siouxsie & The Banshees Fireworks

Madonna Dress You Up
(Note arm dancing)

GoGos Lust To Love

Depeche Mode Photographic

U2 11 O'Clock Tick Tock
(My crush on The Edge endures)

Sisters Of Mercy Marian
(Among so very many others)

New Order True Faith

Nina Hagen Dread Love

Pretenders Kid

Les Rita Mitsouko Marcia Baila

November Group We Dance
(Boston synth band)

Slow Children Spring In Fialta

Womack & Womack Teardrops

Expose Come Go With Me

Samantha Fox Touch Me

Smithereens Only A Memory
