What do you like to eat to make you feel better? Crave anything when it's cold outside? A little depressed? Homesick?

What are your favorite comfort foods?

    Comfort foods:

    Banana beard
    Rubio's fish taco's (with extra jalapeno's)
Roast (cooked in onion/chicken stock) with roasted potatoes
    Gingersnaps
Chips n salsa with my world famous guacamole
    Cornbread dressing left overs (seasonal)
Swedish Fish (I crave those little red buggers from time to time)

my fave all time comfort food is a beverage, pomegranate green tea sweetened with stevia.

Ginger snaps have been known to just plain make me cry as they remind me instantly and wholly of my great grandparents. My great grandmother's pantry was always loaded with ginger snaps and molasses bread, kept in ancient tins with pictures of women in leg of mutton sleeves and men with handlebar mustaches, which perfumed the kitchen all year long.

It tends to vary month to month.

Last month, it was Kraft dinner and cheesecake. This month it was oysters on crackers and Chinese oranges.

Love them. The salt and vinegar ones rock too.

    Lamb biryani
Lunch special from the local Peruvian restaurant next door to work. I'm addicted to their secret sauce.
Sunflower seeds. Munching on them calms my nerves.
Cranberry and orange scones with lemon curd from Trader Joe's.

Crunchy things. Crackers like Wheat Thins or other hard crackers sometimes with cheese on them or carrots or peanut butter on toast.
