You don't want me to list my video collection. I have over 1000 VHS's and I'm up to 188 DVD's.

I like Indies and Foreign Language films best.

If you want to get into French cinema try watching Betty Blue, it'll get you hooked. A more recent film I like is 'A Very Long Engagement', it's a bit girly but still has the war scenes for the boys and the occasional injection of comedy that you expect from the French.

I really want to get into Asian cinema more, anyone know a good movie to start with?

Hi ,

Check out "Raise the Red Lantern","Farewell ,my Concubine", "Memoirs of Geisha," and Kurosawa's "Dreams" I think you might like it. Also almost anything from Akira Kurosawa.

Ran. If that doesn't get you started collecting Asian movies, you aren't really as interested as you thought you were.

I just saw The Untold Story (1993). That's what I'm talking about. Rape and child murder, cannibalism. Dope, dope, dope.
