hung_big: Well, I know, from my current experiences and my friends and through my family that many couples have a song. Albeit if it was from their wedding day, from before (decided mutually) or played on behalf of them as an honor.

So, my question to you all, if you are in a commited relationship, be it straight, gay, lesbian or anything else, do you have a song?

My song is "There is Always Something There To Remind Me"

I love my love with all my heart....*kiss and hugs*

NineInchCock_160IQ: Nine Inch Nails "the becoming". That's what the voices in my head and I call our song since he haven't got a steady girlfriend yet... ^_^

i beat my machine
it's a part of me... it's inside of me
i'm stuck in this dream... it's changing me..
i am becoming......

the me that you know, he had some second thoughts
he's covered with scabs, he is broken and sore
the me that you know, he doesn't come around much
that part of me... isn't here anymore

all pain disappears
it's the nature of.. of my circuitry
it drowns out all i hear
no escape from this: my new consciousness

the me that you know he used to have feelings
but the blood has stopped pumping and he is left to decay
the me that you know is now made up of wires
and even when i'm right with you i'm so far away

i can try to get away
but i've strapped myself in
i can try to scratch away
the sound in my ears
i can see it killing away
all of my bad parts
i don't want to listen
but it's all too clear

For some reason never been huge on the "our song" thing. I haven't had too many steady girlfriends where such a thing would come up, either. My first girlfriend and I were together over 3 years and I don't think we ever had a song. Maybe... Blind Melon's "No Rain"? I sang that to her once. First concert we went to together (and first she had ever been to) was Green Day off their Dookie tour. Trying to come up with something (anything) that had some special relevance but not coming up with much... 2nd gf I don't think we had a song either, though I made a CD for her with a bunch of different songs on it that had some meaning to one or both of us and after that it was almost like all of those were "our songs". A little embarrassing but one of them was Phil Collin's "You'll Be in My Heart". This girl Malgorzata I was in love with for a while was in part because we had similar taste in music.. both big NIN fans, and we again had not just one but a collection of songs together that had some special relevance. The only girl I can think of that I ever really had a specific song with that was "our song" and that we even called it this was Shannon. We were never boyfriend/girlfriend though, more like close friends who perhaps bore a certain level of affection for each other stronger than what most friends have. The song in question was "Landslides". Originally written by Stevie Nicks I think and covered by Smashing Pumpkins and a few other artists.

Revealing my romantic side, one of my favorites is "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", because I continue to "see" the face that I loved so dearly for so long.
It's ok to be a romantic, hung_big.

Even after having been divorced for 15 years I'll hear it and remember...

The Supremes' "Some Day We'll Be Together."

This is such a dangerous thing to have...
because forever after, that song is the last thing i want to hear, or
it sends me (as music so often does) back to that "place" in time.

eek.

All the songs I've had with someone like this were pure cheese, so i
dont think i'll mention.
oh, jeez...ok......this is horrendous, but..."I Dont Want To Wait",
the lovely theme from Dawsons Creek.
LOL
ROTFL.....its true.
YIKES.

"doo doo doooooooo do dooo"
HAAAA.

What other embarrassing things can i tell you?

Your Song - Elton John
[post=282668]Quoted post[/post]

I also love Elton John's "Your Song". -- Know all the words and even today just have to sing along with it. I don't identify any specific person with it, as I do "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", but it was during a happy time in my life when it became popular and one of my favorites. "In a big house where we both could live" still speaks to me.
